Meet Josh – Barber at Social Barber Club

Josh aka ‘Elmsy’ brings sharp fades, good energy, and a natural eye for detail to Social Barber Club. Known for his clean skin fades and easygoing banter, he’s built a reputation for taking his time to get every cut perfect.

A sociable, chatty presence in the shop, Josh brings the relaxed, friendly vibe that Social Barber Club is all about. Whether it’s football talk, a bit of back‑and‑forth, or just a good laugh, he makes every appointment feel like time well spent, and ensures everyone leaves with a banging haircut.

Away from the chair, football is a big part of his life. Having played at a decent level, he’s currently recovering from a knee injury but plans to be back on the pitch soon and is also a dedicated Chelsea fan. He’s also known for flawlessly reciting quote’s from The Inbetweeners on a daily basis..

Meet Mac - Founder of Social Barber Club.

Mac launched Social Barber Club. in early 2024, bringing over nine years of experience to the chair — including building a strong and loyal client base across the Oxfordshire area.

He founded Social Barber Club. with a clear vision: to create a welcoming, social space where the Faringdon people can relax, have a good chat, and leave with a banging haircut. A true perfectionist with a real love for the art of barbering, Mac specialises in everything from sharp skin fades to precise scissor work, delivering consistently high-quality cuts tailored to each individual.

Away from the shop, Mac spends his time playing football, supporting his beloved Ipswich Town, and embracing his passion for music. From house to indie rock, he’s a regular on the festival scene - with Glastonbury standing out as a personal highlight.
