✨ Every movement counts. ✨

This Move to Mend variation may look simple, but it challenges the body in all the right ways.

Using the chair for support, we’re practising opposite arm and opposite leg movements while maintaining a stable, controlled pelvis.

This exercise helps to improve:
🌿 Pelvic stability
🌿 Core control
🌿 Balance
🌿 Coordination
🌿 Confidence in everyday movement

The aim isn’t to move as big as you can—it’s to move with control. Keeping that Pilates connection helps your body stay steady as your arms and legs move, building strength and stability that transfers into everyday activities like walking, climbing stairs and reaching.

Small, consistent movements really do add up.

Small steps today can make a big difference to your quality of life tomorrow. 💚

I’m incredibly honoured and grateful to have been nominated for the Bolton Health & Wellbeing Awards. 🫶✨

To whoever took the time to nominate me—thank you from the bottom of my heart. It means more than you know.

Helping people move with more confidence, reduce pain and improve their quality of life is why I do what I do. Whether it’s through Pilates, Move to Mend, massage therapy or community classes, seeing people achieve things they didn’t think were possible is the greatest reward.

This nomination is a reminder that the small things really do make a difference.

Thank you to all of my amazing clients and class members for trusting me to be part of your journey. ❤️

If you’d like to support me, I’d be so grateful if you could take a minute to vote using the link below:

It might look simple… but don’t let it fool you! 👀

This is another one of my favourite ways to build stability and control from a hands-and-knees position.

By slowly sliding one leg away while keeping the rest of the body as still as possible, you’re encouraging your core, hips and pelvis to work together to control the movement.

✨ A few tips:
✔️ Find your Pilates connection first by gently engaging your deep core muscles.
✔️ Use that connection to help stabilise your pelvis throughout the movement.
✔️ Try to avoid rocking from side to side.
✔️ Move slowly and with control.
✔️ Breathe throughout the exercise.

Remember, it’s not about how far you can slide your leg—it’s about maintaining good control and quality of movement. Strong foundations make everyday movement easier and more confident.

Give it a go and let me know how you get on! 💚

✨ Start with the basics. ✨

This is exactly where I would begin teaching this movement.

By stripping it right back, we can focus on what really matters:
✅ Keeping the body stable
✅ Engaging the core
✅ Controlling the movement
✅ Building confidence before progressing

It might look simple… but give it a try! 👀 You’ll soon realise it’s much harder than it looks. Sometimes the smallest movements are the ones that teach us the most.

Master the foundations first, and everything else becomes easier. 💪

Another special mention has to go to this lovely man… Rod. ❤️

I had the pleasure of treating him last week, but he’s so much more than a client. Rod is an incredible friend and the person who first introduced me to NLP.

He opened my eyes to so much of the “stuff” that was going on in my own head. Looking back, I realised I didn’t need to change my life—I needed to change the way I was thinking about it. My mind needed a complete rewire.

I remember a time when all I wanted was to feel happy again… like I did when I was younger and carefree. I thought buying more things or chasing the next goal would make that happen. But it wasn’t the external things I needed at all. I needed to understand what was going on inside.

With Rod’s help, I did.

Thank you, Rod, for challenging me, helping me see things differently, and giving me the tools to create a happier, calmer version of myself. I’ll always be grateful. ❤️

I have to make a special mention to this amazing lady. ❤️

She really is like my guardian angel. Sometimes we’re lucky enough to find a friend like this, and I certainly have.

Catherine completely gets me. Despite everything she has going on in her own life and business, she always finds time for me, and I honestly can’t thank her enough.

As well as being an incredible friend, she’s also an amazing coach. Calling her a “life coach” doesn’t quite do her justice! She’s a menopause coach, NLP coach, counsellor, and so much more.

If you’re struggling with everyday life—whether you’re navigating menopause or simply feeling stuck—please don’t think you have to do it alone. Catherine has a wonderful way of helping you see things differently, giving you practical tools and helping you move forward with confidence.

Sometimes, even a 15-minute conversation with the right person can change your whole perspective. It might just be the thing that helps you take that next step, rediscover yourself, or even soar. ✨

Thank you, Catherine, for always believing in me, supporting me, and reminding me of what’s possible. I’m so grateful for you. ❤️

Movement with purpose. 🤍

This simple forward bend isn’t about touching your toes—it’s about maintaining the movements we use every single day.

Can you put your socks on? Tie your shoes? Pick something up from the floor? Reach into a low cupboard?

These are all functional movements that help us stay independent.

In Move to Mend, we often revisit movements like this throughout the programme. Not to compare ourselves with others, but to see whether moving feels a little easier, a little more comfortable, or whether we’ve gained a little more confidence.

Everyone worked within their own comfortable range today. Some members used a chair for support, others reached a little further, and every single version was the right one for them.

It’s not about forcing your body into positions it isn’t ready for—it’s about respecting where your body is today while gently encouraging it to keep moving.

✨ Every little improvement adds up.

Because maintaining strength, mobility and independence is one of the greatest investments we can make in our future.

✨ This lady couldn’t do this a couple of months ago… ✨

This lovely lady, Susan, came to see me a couple of months ago because she was experiencing pain in her arm, and lifting it overhead was difficult. 💙

Fast forward a couple of months…

👏 She can now reach overhead with much greater ease.
👏 Her shoulder movement has improved.
👏 Everyday tasks are becoming easier.

Susan has been attending Move to Mend classes alongside receiving sports massage treatment, and it’s been wonderful to see her confidence and movement improve over time.

This is exactly why I’m so passionate about helping people move better.

It isn’t about being the fittest in the room.
It isn’t about touching your toes.
It’s about improving your quality of life so you can keep doing the things you love.

✨ Appreciate where your body is today… and remember that small, consistent steps really do add up.

Thank you, Susan, for allowing me to share your progress. ❤️

💙 Move to Mend is designed to improve quality of life through safe, supportive movement.

If you’re struggling with stiffness, aches or reduced movement, we’d love to welcome you.

Love this 😍

Have you ever stopped to question whether everything you think is actually true?

Our minds are incredible storytellers. Sometimes those stories encourage us.
Sometimes they protect us and sometimes they convince us of things that simply aren't true.

I'm not good enough.
Everyone is judging me.
I can't cope.

The interesting thing is, we often accept those thoughts as facts without ever stopping to question them.

One of the biggest lessons NLP taught me wasn't how to stop thinking.
It was how to become curious about my thinking. Instead of believing every thought automatically, I learned to ask:

Is this definitely true?
What evidence do I have?
What else could be true?

Those questions don't magically make difficult thoughts disappear, but they do create something incredibly valuable...Choice.

Because when we stop treating every thought as a fact, we give ourselves permission to see things differently.

💜 What's one thought you've been treating as a fact that might deserve a second look?

✈️ Travelling this summer? Don’t forget to pack your movement! ☀️🧳

Long queues, airport lounges and waiting to board are the perfect opportunity to get your body moving. These simple exercises can help reduce stiffness, improve circulation and leave you feeling much more comfortable when you arrive. 💙

Remember… 10 minutes of movement is enough. Staying consistent is what makes the difference. 🌿

💬 Give these a try on your next trip and let me know how you get on!
