What about the fibre ?
This is a question I get asked a lot and I’m sure I it will be asked a lot more too..
So here’s the facts on fibre….
Juicing is done by extracting most of the insoluble fibre from fruit and vegetables (AKA the pulp) while the soluble fibre remains in the juice. Fibre plays a very important role in the body. It is the indigestible part of fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, grains, and legumes. It’s recommended you eat 25-30g’s of fibre daily when eating a whole food diet.
Insoluble and soluble the 2 main types of fibre in fruit and vegetables.
Soluble fibre have pectins, gums and mucilage. This is all present in the juice.
Insoluble fibre gives bulk to the still and keeps you regular. Insoluble fibre also fills you up and speeds up the passage of food through the digestive system.
