🚨 Filler Migration 🚨
When working in aesthetic medicine filler migration can happen for a number of reasons. The most IMPORTANT thing to do when this presents ….. START AGAIN!
There is absolutely no need or any benefit to try and correct migrated filler with more filler. Any good practitioner will have the (sometimes hard) conversation about dissolving the filler with their patient and create a treatment plan to dissolve the existing hyaluronic acid (filler) and refill (if desired) 2 weeks (atleast, we usually wait 3-4 weeks) after the dissolve.
With our patient; we dissolved the pockets of filler that had migrated into the wet mucosa and will refill once appropriate. Stay tuned for post-dissolve results 👌.
Remember 🚨- hylaronadaisse (the dissolving enzyme) is a prescription only medication and you should see a prescriber /medic before you have your filler dissolved 👩🏼⚕️

So when exactly did we decide this was casual?
I love aesthetic medicine, but loving this industry doesn’t mean pretending treatments are risk-free.
It’s quite the opposite. The more normalised injectables become, the more COMPLICATIONS I’m seeing coming into my clinic from elsewhere.
Your injector shouldn’t just know how to create a beautiful result. They should understand what they’re injecting, WHERE they’re injecting it, WHY they’re injecting it — and what they’ll do if something goes wrong.
Aesthetics can be beautiful BUT injecting someone’s face is not a JOKE and I refuse to treat it like one. 🎤 (I said what I said)!

Mid face volume replacement 👌.
Our patient had lost a considerable amount of weight (well done to her 👏🏻). Unfortunately with weight loss comes facial volume loss.
To replace her mid face volume loss and restore some youthfulness we used 2ml dermal fillers. We wanted to start with a small amount as this is our patient’s first time having fillers; we can always add more if needed.
Our final result was a rejuvenated mid face and also an indirect lift to the jawline. Our patient was very happy with her results 👌.
