💛 World Su***de Prevention Day — 10 September
Today is World Su***de Prevention Day.
Behind every statistic is a person. A family. A friend. A colleague. Someone who may be carrying far more than we can see.
Sometimes the person who is struggling is the person who is smiling, working, caring for everyone else and appearing to cope.
So today is a reminder to check in with the people around us — and really listen to the answer.
You don't need to have the perfect words.
You don't need to fix everything.
Sometimes simply creating a safe space for someone to talk can matter enormously.
And if you are struggling, please tell someone. You deserve to be heard and supported, and help is available.

Today, and every day, let's make it easier to say:
“I'm struggling.”
“I need some help.”
“Can we talk?”
And perhaps just as importantly:
“I'm here. I'm listening.” 💛

I can not tell you how much appreciation, respect and gratitude I have for this man!
Without him I would not have Amarasabia. He built it for me, his skill and selflessness are no match to any other person I know.
He has yet again given up with time to cut and fit the shelving throughout the reception and the first two rooms.
He doesn't have to do this, he has a busy life but he does it any I can't thank him enough.
We are coming to the end of the snagg list, the salon is up and running but the final few hurdles keep me from sharing it, then I'll share exactly what the absolute legend has done for me.
It's been a long time since I've been happy in my work environment but everyday I am smiling and thankful.
Thank you Dean.
The best big brother!

✨ REIKI — WHAT IS IT? ✨
Reiki is a gentle complementary therapy that originated in Japan in the early 20th century, developed by Mikao Usui. The word Reiki is commonly interpreted from the Japanese rei (spiritual/universal) and ki (energy).
During a Reiki treatment, the practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above the body. Many people use Reiki as a peaceful opportunity to slow down, switch off and reconnect with themselves.
🌿 Why do people choose Reiki?
Reiki is often used to support:
• Deep relaxation
• A sense of calm and wellbeing
• Stress reduction
• Emotional relaxation
• Mindfulness and self-awareness
• Rest and time away from everyday pressures
✨ REIKI & THE CHAKRAS
Reiki is also commonly practised alongside the concept of the seven main chakras — energy centres traditionally associated with different aspects of physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing:
🔴 Root — grounding & security
🟠 Sacral — creativity & emotion
🟡 Solar Plexus — confidence & personal power
💚 Heart — love & compassion
🔵 Throat — communication & expression
🟣 Third Eye — intuition & awareness
🤍 Crown — spirituality & connection
Some people describe feeling warmth, tingling or deep relaxation during Reiki, while others simply enjoy the opportunity to be still. There is no “right” way to experience it.
Reiki is a complementary wellbeing practice rather than a medical treatment, and it shouldn't replace appropriate medical care.
Sometimes, giving yourself permission to stop for a while can be a treatment in itself. 🤍

🌿 Neroli Essential Oil 🌿
Delicate, floral and beautifully uplifting, Neroli essential oil is steam distilled from the blossoms of the bitter orange tree. 🍊
🤍 Often used during times of stress or emotional tension, its soothing aroma can help create a sense of calm, encourage relaxation and support restful sleep.
Neroli is also loved in skincare, particularly for dry, mature or stressed skin, making it a beautiful oil for both mind and body.
It blends wonderfully with Lavender, Bergamot, Sweet Orange, Frankincense, Ylang Ylang and Sandalwood.

There’s something quite emotional about looking at these two photos side by side. 🤍
Getting to this point hasn’t been without overwhelm, anxiety, stress and more than a few tears. I’m incredibly hard on myself. I have a habit of deciding something needs doing and then expecting it to have been finished yesterday! I’m always thinking about the next job, the next improvement or the next thing that needs my attention.
But I’m learning.
I’m learning to look around and appreciate what has already been achieved instead of immediately focusing on what’s still left to do. To recognise how far we’ve come. To be a little kinder to myself and accept that not everything has to happen at once.
Amarasabia was created to be a place where people can slow down, breathe and take some time for themselves — and perhaps one of the biggest lessons for me is learning to do the same.
Not just when I’m inside this beautiful space, but in life generally.
There will always be another job to do and another idea in my head, but I don’t want to be so busy chasing what comes next that I forget to appreciate what is right in front of me.
And I certainly couldn’t reflect on how far Amarasabia has come without mentioning my brothers. Their time, hard work, patience and skills helped turn what I could see in my head into reality — and I am more grateful to them than I could ever put into words.
So today, I’m allowing myself a little moment to look back, feel proud and simply say…
Look how far we’ve come. 🤍
And maybe, just maybe, I’ll get better at enjoying the journey too.

Today I spent the day with my good friend Bec.
Bec is undergoing a trial so we popped to the hospital to get the essentials done before going to the exhibition, which may I add was superb!
Bec is an absolute warrior of a woman, a few years back she discovered that she had breast cancer that had spread to her lymph nodes.
I don't know anyone quite like Bec, despite everything she has gone through, she is ALWAYS smiling!
Her full story is here , any way that I can help with regards to treatments I do.
We have treated her lymphoma with Manual Lymphatic Drainage, actually this is the only reason I trained in it but have since fallen in love with the wonderful treatment.
We have worked on Becs surgery scars as she has a breast reconstruction using her stomach fats. The results from this were amazing but left some nasty scars so we have been Microneedling them with results the make me proud.
I will get round to showing the results from both the MLD and Microneedling.
If anyone is going through anything similar please get in touch, i would be privileged to be able to help you on your healing journey.
Have a look at Becs page, she is hosting a quiz night in November, I will be donating some treatments so come along and support this amazing woman ♥️

TO EVERYONE RECEIVING THEIR GCSE RESULTS TOMORROW… 🤍
Your results are part of your story.
They do not get to write the ending.
I didn’t enjoy school, and I still remember being told by an English teacher that I wouldn’t amount to anything.
My GCSE results weren’t what I’d hoped for either.
But he was wrong.
26 years later, I still love the career I chose. I still have passion, ambition and a genuine love for what I do.
More importantly, my work has given me the privilege of meeting, caring for and building relationships with some truly wonderful people.
So tomorrow, whatever is written on that piece of paper, please remember:
There is so much more to you than a set of grades.
Be proud of yourself. Your future is still yours to create.
Lots of love & good luck,
Stacey x
