This look is about control and restraint, particularly when working with copper.

Copper can easily become overpowering, so the intention was to create depth and luminosity without losing refinement.

I used DiaRichesse, combining ½ 5 and ½ 6.45, mixed with 15 vol (1 :1.5), to build a rich but controlled base. The goal was warmth with polish, not excess.

Through the mid lengths and ends, I applied DiaRichesse 6.45 on every other section to avoid saturation and maintain natural dimension.
This allows the tone to move and shift rather than sit flat.

At the front, I worked with diagonal back zig zag sectioning to break up any heavy lines and create softness around the face. It keeps the copper diffused and modern.

To refine the tone, I finished with DiaLight 8.24, mixed with 9 vol (1 :1,5).
This softened the warmth and added luminosity, elevating the copper into something clean, balanced and light responsive.

Before and after toning, I used Vitamino Color shampoo then applied Vitamino Color mask to protect the fibre and maintain clarity and shine.

The cut is softly layered to remove internal weight and encourage movement. As the hair moves, the tone appears and disappears, enhancing diffusion and dimension.

I defined the curl pattern using SteamPod and L’Oréal Professionnel SteamPod Smoothing TreatmentSteamPod, creating shine and control while keeping the curls flexible and modern.

What was important for me is that this look is completely salon friendly. The technique is realistic, wearable and achievable behind the chair.

But when the client wears it, it feels elevated. It feels expensive, fashion led and refined.

That balance reflects L’Oréal’s values.
Colour that is accessible and commercially viable, yet still delivers a high end, aspirational finish.

The final result is:
A controlled copper with movement.
A luxury feel that remains wearable for every client.

So we may not have much proof of the evening, but my heart is full of memories, laughter and love, and that’s something I’ll keep forever.
