This Tuesday marks the final day of the 2021 Creative Folkestone Triennial. Join us to celebrate the end of the festivities with the procession of a new artwork and the switching on of the Christmas lights!

Folkestone included in Lonely Planet's World’s Best Regions to Visit in 2022! 🎉🌍

We are proud to announce that Folkestone has been included in Lonely Planet's list of the World's Best Regions to Visit in 2022. As part of Kent's Heritage Coast, we have been placed fourth, alongside other regions, including Puerto Rico, the Atacama Desert and Iceland's Westfjords.

Kent’s Heritage Coast was selected for its commitment to sustainable tourism and ambitions for the future whilst celebrating the past. The regeneration of the historic town of Dover and the work of Creative Folkestone have been highlighted as primary reasons to visit the area.

The region has also been honoured for its plans to establish a Biosphere Reserve and secure the Strait of Dover as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The unique combination of stunning landscape, historic architecture and creative energy has made our region stand out.

What a fantastic day! Thank you to everyone that came down and welcomed Little Amal to Folkestone! ❤️

We were overwhelmed by the support and want to take a moment to thank every person that came and saw Little Amal take her first steps in the UK on her journey from Turkey to Manchester.

We started this morning with a warm welcome from Jude Law and a group of local school children who battled strong winds and wet conditions to warmly welcome Amal.

At 4pm The Walk started. Hundreds of choir singers perfromed a song written by .sebastian and Kent Refugee Action Network to over a thousand spectators. We can't thank all the singers enough for such a moving experience.

A massive thank you to London Contempory Voices and Citizens Of The World Choir for travelling down to Folkestone to perform today and their help over the past months.

We can't thank enough for putting on such an amazing project which has given us so much joy. Follow to keep up to date with where Little Amal will be next.

A massive thank you to St Peters and St Eanswythe Churches for supporting the project and allowing us access to their facilities.
