Old astrological and seasonal calendars followed nature — and nature doesn’t reset in the middle of winter. January was a time for:

• Hibernation
• Gentle intention-setting

The real new beginning came at the spring equinox, when the Sun moves into Aries, the light returns, and life starts pushing up through the soil 🌞🐏

That’s not a failure — it’s wisdom.

Hello, I’m Verity, a local Reiki practitioner and the heart behind The Village Healer – Reiki Healing.

I’ve been trained in Usui Reiki for over 20 years, studying with Reiki Master Hiro Kelly, and Reiki has been a guiding light on my own healing journey, walking alongside my work as a professional artist and my deep connection to creativity and spirituality.

My artistic career has taken me round the world working for Madame Tussauds painting wax figures for many years, alongside fineline tattooing and illustration work.

I grew up in the village of Lyminge in Kent, surrounded by the beautiful countryside and seaside, and feel very lucky to still call this wonderful place home.

I share my life with my nature, tree and wellness enthusiast husband, our beautiful young son and spirited old border terrier Aoife.

Reiki has been a huge part of my own journey, and I’m so grateful to be sharing this gentle, restorative therapy with my local community.

I am based in Lyminge near Folkestone Kent and offer services in the surrounding areas, bringing with me everything we need for a wonderfully relaxing grounding session.

🌿 I offer mobile Reiki sessions, bringing healing to you in the comfort of your own home, as well as distance Reiki, which allows you to receive healing energy no matter where you are.
