Are you exfoliating regularly inbetween your waxing appointments?

The hair grows from the bottom of your pore and is kept bathed in sebum secreted by the pore. But if the top of your pore becomes blocked due to debris or too much sebum and it swells shut, the hair can't make its way out, resulting in an ingrown hair.

Exfolliation is sooo important and should be part of your skin care routine 2-3 times per week. Circular motions is best.. no scrubbing back and forth!

As well as removing dead skin cells and debris it regenerates your skin bringing new healthier skin cells to the surface.

By using a circular motion you are also loosening the hair within the follicle and this allows for treatments such as waxing to lift the hair from the root preventing hair breakage/snapping at the surface producing a much better result 🤩

Avoid exfoliating on the day of your wax and 72 hours after your wax to prevent sensitivity of the skin.

Exfoliating mits retain dead skin and debris harbouring bacteria which you don’t want to rub into your skin unless you put in your washing machine every time you have used them. A scrub is far more hygienic.

Over exfoliation can lead to redness, irritation and sensitivity. 2-3 times per week is plenty.
