Printing off our handouts for this weekend’s workshop with volunteers! We’ll be holding this workshop at The Hive building on the willow field of just up the road here in Rafford! Thanks to for suggesting this workshop after having attended our second session over the winter. This one will have a seaweed theme to tie into MOC’s great work. 🌊🫧🌱

Many of you already know we’re big fans of the circular economy, giving back 50p for every returned skin cream jar for reuse. This has also been a year of learning to sew, with the latest project being this up-cycled jumper for our dog Pippin. It is made from an old wool jumper that shrunk and felted in the wash as well as some scarves from my days volunteering for . Pippin is my absolute favourite girl on the run and being a “southern belle” rescue dog from South Carolina, she really feels cold Scottish days. Not too bad for a first attempt at sewing clothes! 😆 Needs a few small adjustments but she is quite pleased with how warm and cosy it is! ♻️

Local seaweed! This evening during the nearly full moon low tide, I went out foraging for bladderwrack and kelp with my very wise foraging friend … and found an abundance of both along Cummingston beach just 13 miles from us. I harvested just a little from many many plants to ensure no harm was done to any of them. My foraged bounty is all rinsed and drying in the soap studio now and when they’re finished we’ll be making Invigorating Seaweed shampoo & body bars from our own locally foraged seaweed. That brings me incredible joy and we hope it will for all you Invigorating Seaweed lovers too! 🌊🌕🙏🏻

We are so excited for the Farm Shop at Marcassie Farm Lodges to be re-opening this Tuesday! As always, our full line of products will be on offer in the shop, alongside so many beautiful artisanal wares and Gulli’s amazing culinary delectables! 👩‍🍳☕️🥮

After a long winter we are delighted to be opening our doors again to all our lovely customers old and new, from Wednesday 1st of April!

Come say hi, grab a bite and coffee, or some local artisan delights, enjoy a wander around the pond or soak up the calm on our little deck outside.

Expect familiar favourite with some new additions 💚😊
