🎬 The Nail Chair Chronicles – Episode 6: More Than Just Nails 💅❤️

This one is a little different.

When I first became a nail tech, of course I knew I'd be creating beautiful nails. What I didn't fully appreciate was just how much life would be shared across my nail table.
I've celebrated engagements, birthdays, holidays, new jobs, new babies and exciting new chapters. 🥰

But I've also sat with clients through grief, illness, the loss of loved ones and beloved pets, anxiety, worries and some incredibly difficult times.

Sometimes we laugh until our stomachs hurt. Sometimes there are tears. Sometimes we put the world to rights... and occasionally we actually remember we're supposed to be doing nails! 😂

I don't pretend to have all the answers, and I'm certainly no therapist. But I can listen.
And I feel genuinely privileged that so many of you feel comfortable enough in my little nail room to talk freely, be yourselves and share pieces of your lives with me.
What is said at the nail table stays at the nail table. ❤️

So thank you for trusting me—not only with your nails, but with your stories, your celebrations, your worries and sometimes your tears.

Beautiful nails are lovely... but the connections I've made along the way are probably the most unexpected and special part of this job. 🥹❤️

MJ sang once, that " it don't matter if you're black or white...." so we went with both..... plus polkadots 🎊. Black Betty and Plain Jane finished with Like A Diamond Topcoat.

Clients own nails now grown out thanks to starting with GelX extensions. Uses Tickled Pink Sculpt It Hard Gel and Lilo Lil for French tips and cute added in some cute pawprints too and finished off with Like A Diamond topcoat for endless shine.

✨ Appointment Update ✨

A little update for all my lovely clients...

I now have no availability until mid-September for my regular clients. If you haven't already booked your next appointment, please do so as soon as possible. Some clients are now booking appointments right through to January 2027.

If any appointments become available for new clients or returning clients who are currently enjoying a nail break, I'll post an update here as soon as I can.

📅 Annual Leave:
I'll be taking annual leave from 25th December 2026 until 4th January 2027 (inclusive), so please bear this in mind when planning your appointments.

Thank you all so much for keeping me so wonderfully busy. I genuinely love what I do, and I'm incredibly grateful for every single one of you. 💕

🎬 The Nail Chair Chronicles – Episode 5: The Dot Dilemma 🔴⚫

Confession time... 😅

If it were entirely up to me, I'd probably add polka dots to almost every set I create.
Me: "How about just one tiny dot?"
Client: "No thanks, plain please." 😂
Then, every so often, someone says...
"Go to town with the dots!"
At that point, my inner nail artist does a little happy dance! 💃🎉

But in all seriousness, one of my favourite things about this job is creating your perfect set—not mine. Whether you love bold nail art, delicate dots, glitter, chrome, or prefer beautifully simple plain nails, every choice is the right one because it's your style.

(Although... if you ever fancy a few polka dots, you know where I am! 😉)
