Ensure your practitioner/clinic is registered with Healthcare Improvement Scotland. Otherwise they are not regulated. Practitioners who do not regulate probably do so as it is a rigorous and expensive process but it is to ensure the safety of the patient.
Since the 1st of April 2017 all independent clinics in Scotland are required to be registered with Healthcare Improvement Scotland. This regulation encompasses both consultations and treatments.
It’s imperative to note that it’s illegal for medical professionals to administer injections outside of a HIS registered site.
