For me, being a Proraso Educator is something truly special.
It means carrying the Italian barbering tradition I grew up with in my father’s barbershop — the scents of shaving creams, the discipline of the craft, and the passion that today I proudly share across the world.

Dear clients, friends, and The Italian Job Barber family,

After 13 unforgettable years, the time has come for us to say goodbye to our historic home at 2 Channel Street, Galashiels.

This shop has been far more than just a barber shop.
It’s where I grew as a man, built my family, watched my children grow up, and shared incredible memories with staff, clients, and friends who became family.

Together we survived every challenge — even Covid couldn’t stop us.

And inside these walls lives one of the most emotional memories of my life:
this was the last shop where I saw my father working beside me.

I still remember the way he looked at me, as if to say:

“The future is in your hands. Whatever step you take, I will always be with you.”

That memory will stay with me forever.

But every great story evolves…
And now it’s time for a new chapter.

WE ARE MOVING ✂️

We had opportunities to leave Galashiels, but with the support of my son Francesco, Lucy, and Patrycja — who have always stood beside me through everything — we knew we could never leave the town where people know us, respect us, and have supported us from day one.

Galashiels became our home.

Over the years, we have had the honour of seeing entire generations walk through our doors — grandparents, parents, and now their children — all becoming part of the TijBarbers story.

That is something money can never buy.

INTRODUCING: TIJBARBERS ACADEMY HUB 🎓

Inside our brand-new location, we will also launch a dream we have carried for years:

The TIJBARBERS Academy Hub

A place where young people from the Scottish Borders will have the opportunity to learn the barbering industry, develop real skills, and even build a future career within our team.
