🖤5 Years of Going Mobile… and a Journey That Started 15 Years Ago🖤

Five years ago, after COVID, I made one of the biggest decisions for my business. I closed the door on having a salon base, and took a leap of faith into becoming a fully mobile beauty therapist.

It was a huge gamble. I had no idea where that decision would take me or whether it would even work, but I decided to roll the dice and trust the journey.

But really, this journey started long before that.

Back in 2011, I found myself unsure of what I wanted to do with my life. I decided to enrol on a beauty taster course… and I absolutely loved it.

At the time I was a single mam to. A few times a week I’d walk up to college, take ava to the nursery crèche, and we’d sit and have lunch together before heading home. They are memories I’ll always treasure, and they were the very beginning of where my passion for beauty was born.

I worked my way through my qualifications, all the way to Level 5, while juggling studying, working and family life. Standing at my graduation, I never imagined that one day I’d be running my own successful beauty business. Looking back now, I’m incredibly proud of how far that uncertain young woman has come.

Over the last five years, I’ve been welcomed into so many of your homes. We’ve shared so much more than beauty treatments. We’ve shared laughs, tears, exciting milestones, life’s challenges, celebrations and everything in between.

Thank you for trusting me with your lashes, brows, nails, facials and all your beauty treatments. Thank you for every appointment, every recommendation, every message, every kind word and for continuing to support me year after year. Your loyalty and kindness have allowed my little business to continue to
grow, and I’ll never take that for granted.

A huge thank you also goes to my family. They see the early mornings, late nights and weekends, and they understand the sacrifices that come with building a business. Balancing Dash of Lash alongside another job and family responsibilities isn’t always easy, and sometimes finding that balance can be challenging. Thank you for your patience, your support, and for believing in me every step of the way.

To think that 10 years after graduating, here I am running the business I once only dreamed about… I couldn’t be more grateful.
