What a couple of weeks it’s been… 🗞️🎙️✨

I’ve been so grateful to see my journey shared across radio, national press and local media over the past few weeks.

From my interview with Clyde, which was also featured online, to national print coverage in the Daily Record, national online coverage with both the Daily Record and The Sun, and so much support from press closer to home across Ayrshire and the West.

I’ve been featured digitally by local outlets including Ayrshire News, the Ayrshire Advertiser, the Irvine Chronicle and other local publications, as well as appearing in print in Ayrshire Magazine too ✨

Some of the coverage has focused on me making history as the oldest woman to reach this stage of the Miss Great Britain Classic competition, while other stories have highlighted something I care deeply about - using this platform to support the White Ribbon campaign and help raise awareness around ending violence against women.

A huge thank you to every journalist, presenter, publication and reader who has helped share my story. Seeing it reach people locally and nationally has been incredibly special. ❤️

I’m so chuffed to see my recent visit to Police Scotland in support of the White Ribbon campaign featured in the Daily Record today - both online and in print. 🤍

White Ribbon is such an important campaign, encouraging men and boys to stand up, speak out and help challenge violence against women and girls.

It was a real privilege to visit the station, learn more about the work being done locally and show my support for a campaign that is about creating safer communities and changing attitudes for the better.

I’m incredibly proud to be able to use my platform to help raise awareness of something that matters so much.

'Glamour Gran' beauty queen in new crusade to tackle violence against women Anne Marie Harper, who is 71, has been dubbed Scotland's glamour gran following her success in national beauty competitions against younger women.

Another really meaningful part of my journey 🤍

Following the White Ribbon information session I recently attended at Ayr Fire Station, I was kindly invited along to Ayr Police Station to learn more about the work being done locally to tackle violence against women and support those affected.

The original event brought together the South Ayrshire Violence Against Women Partnership, White Ribbon Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, South Ayrshire Council and Police Scotland Ayrshire - all working together to raise awareness, encourage people to sign the pledge and help create change.

It was a real privilege to continue that conversation at Ayr Police Station, hear more about the work taking place behind the scenes and understand more about the role our local officers play in supporting women and keeping our communities safe.

I’m incredibly grateful for opportunities like this. For me, being Ms Ayrshire GB Classic is about much more than the competition itself - it’s also about learning, supporting important causes and using my platform positively wherever I can.

Prestwick's Ann Marie Harper, 71, is aiming to become the first Scot to win the Classic crown when she represents Ayrshire.

A little moment of reflection… and one I’ll never take for granted. 👑✨

I’m so incredibly proud to be on this journey alongside two amazing women, Robyn and Michelle. Three Ayrshire winners, three different stories, three different stages of life - but one shared dream as we now head towards the Miss Great Britain finals together. 🤍

Of course, we all want to win. We wouldn’t be here if we didn’t! But what makes this journey so special is that it has become about so much more than a crown. We cheer each other on, lift each other up and, somewhere along the way, have become a little family.

And for me personally, I hope standing alongside these incredible women sends a message: you are never too old to chase something new, put yourself forward or believe that amazing things can still be ahead of you.* #

At 71, I’m living proof that age really is just a number. ✨

So proud of us, girls. Let’s do this together. 👑🤍
