There are days I feel really confident.
Then there are days I catch my reflection whilst carrying shopping bags into the house looking like I’ve fought in a war.
Both are normal.
I think women put too much pressure on themselves to feel attractive constantly. Nobody does.
Some days you feel amazing.
Some days you feel tired and puffy and slightly feral.
That’s just being alive.

People will spend hundreds on clothes they don’t even like anymore because it feels “normal”, but panic for 6 months over booking a treatment for themselves.
I see this constantly.
Women who…
pay everyone else’s bills
organise everyone’s lives
hold together entire households
run businesses
raise children
Then, feel guilty for doing a treatment that makes them feel better.
The amount of women that sit in my clinic and immediately start justifying why they’re there is honestly fascinating.
“I know it’s silly.”
“I never normally do things for myself.”
“I shouldn’t really be spending money on me.”
Meanwhile they haven’t stopped functioning for another human being since 2014. I actually think women have been conditioned to see themselves as resources before people.
So when they finally do something purely because it makes them feel good, they almost need to present a court case for it.
And the irony is most women don’t even want dramatic change.
They want to feel, more attractive, less exhausted, more themselves, like they’ve made some effort again.
That’s it. Not perfect.
Just a slight return to self after years of giving themselves to everyone else.

Samantha felt that her lips weren’t quite in proportion with each other or the rest of her facial features. Her goal wasn’t to have “big lips” she just wanted more volume and balance while still looking completely natural.
Her lips are now softer, fuller, and more harmonious with the rest of her face. The result is noticeable, but not obvious.
One of the biggest concerns I hear from women is “I don’t want my lips to look overdone.”
And honestly, neither do I.
I always say that lip filler should be about enhancing, not changing.
Beautiful lip filler is about understanding facial proportions and creating an outcome that feels authentic to you.

It’s never lost on me that even when you really want a treatment, it can be quite nerve wracking.
Taking the time to make you feel comfortable, calm, informed and at ease will always be as important as the treatment itself.
Thank you for trusting me and this lovely review 🤍

48 hours in Manchester learning all things gynae.
Such a thorough, informative course and we obviously made time for some nice food, a little swim and just hanging out in between (because we’re always at work 😂).
But alongside this and everything we learned, our eyes were also opened to just how far we still have to come when it comes to the opinions and attitudes towards women’s health and early maternity care.
I found it genuinely shocking because they were the views and opinions of some of the other delegates on the course. From other women, in the clinics and specialties you’d expect to be treated with dignity and compassion.
Anyway, one thing is for certain…Oracle will always be a safe space for women.

I’ve had to start wearing glasses recently and honestly…it’s going to take a minute because wearing glasses just isn’t part of my identity.
It got me thinking about something that I don’t think women talk about honestly enough.
There’s a very strange feeling when you realise you no longer walk into rooms with the same presence you used to have automatically.
And before anyone says “looks shouldn’t matter” … I know. Obviously.
But if you’ve been considered attractive for most of your adult life, and something about yourself changes, you absolutely notice when the energy changes too.
Maybe people don’t look as long.
Maybe men are less nervous around you.
Other women now carry the sort of attention you used to receive without thinking about it.
And the strange part is mentally you still feel exactly the same you always did. That’s the part nobody prepares you for.
You still feel like yourself internally, so when your face starts changing or your presence in a room changes slightly, it’s genuinely unsettling for a minute.
Not devastating. Just strange.
And I think women feel ashamed admitting this because it sounds vain, but actually I think it’s more about identity than beauty.
Because when the world responds to you differently, you inevitably become more aware of yourself too.
I honestly think that’s why so many women become interested in aesthetics in their late 30s and 40s.
Not because they’re desperately trying to be younger.
They just want to feel a bit more like themselves again.
And there’s not a thing wrong with that.
Guys, if anyone knows where I can get contacts with a cylinder of -0.50 (if it’s even a thing) I’ll love you forever ✌🏼🖤

I used to think confidence came first.
Now I think sometimes confidence comes after you stop obsessing over every tiny flaw.
I remember being younger and genuinely believing everybody noticed the same things I noticed about myself.
My skin.
My under eyes.
The way my face changed when I smiled.
Photos from certain angles.
Meanwhile most people were too busy worrying about themselves. It’s strange how much mental energy women spend monitoring their appearance.
Checking mirrors.
Checking cameras.
Checking reflections in shop windows.
And social media has made it worse because now we’re comparing ourselves to women who don’t even look like themselves.
I’ve had patients sit in front of me apologising for completely normal features.
Normal lines.
Normal movement.
Normal ageing.
And honestly? I think some of us have forgotten what a real face actually looks like anymore.

Do trends equal good outcomes?
No.
They equal popularity.
That’s it.
Something being everywhere doesn’t mean it’s the best option. It just means it’s being talked about the most. Usually with very good lighting and a confident voiceover.
Treatments go through phases. One minute it’s all about one thing, then suddenly it’s something else.
Same industry, same faces - just a different focus.
Your face, unfortunately, doesn’t follow trends.
What works well is usually quite consistent. It’s not particularly exciting, and it doesn’t change every five minutes. It’s based on structure, balance, skin quality - the usual, slightly boring things that actually make a difference.
Trends tend to skip over that.
They offer a shortcut. A single treatment that’s meant to do everything. Which sounds great, until you realise most faces don’t need the same thing.
Some trends are fine. Some even stick around because they’re genuinely useful. But a lot of them are just… popular for a bit.
And popularity is not the same as good.
Good is subtle.
Considered.
Usually a bit less obvious.
Which is why it doesn’t trend quite as well.

Jessica is a gorgeous, super busy Mam 🫶🏼
She felt like her cheeks looked a bit flatter than they used to and she came to me wanting to feel a bit fresher.
By subtly restoring volume she had lost in the midface with dermal filler, Jessica’s cheeks are enhanced, improving her overall facial balance as well as supporting the under eyes.
I absolutely love helping you M**s feel refreshed and more like yourselves 🤍

Today is International Day of the Midwife 🤍
A year ago, I never imagined my role would look like this.
I’m not working within the NHS in the traditional sense of midwifery, and my day-to-day life as a midwife is very different to what I once expected.
But at the heart of it, nothing has changed.
I am still deeply honoured to be a midwife. To hold space for women, to support them through transformative seasons of their lives, to witness growth, vulnerability, strength, and change in all its forms.
Midwifery isn’t just a place or a system - it’s a way of being. And no matter what that looks like, I carry that with me every single day.
Here’s to all the incredible midwives, in every role, redefining what it means to care. 🤍
