7 years in aesthetics… and I’m STILL learning. 🧠💉🇮🇹

This weekend I travelled to Italy to complete advanced facial anatomy and cadaver training…something that was completely outside my comfort zone, but genuinely one of the most valuable experiences of my career so far.

This gives you an entirely different understanding of facial anatomy than you can ever get from a textbook.

Seeing the different tissue layers, muscles, fat compartments, vessels and anatomical structures first hand and understanding exactly where we are working when performing aesthetic treatments….was honestly fascinating.

The training was delivered by an incredible international faculty of aesthetic doctors and surgeons from around the world, sharing their knowledge, techniques and experience with us.

And although I’ve been injecting for years, this was such a reminder that in aesthetics you should never stop learning.

Trends change. Techniques evolve. Our understanding of anatomy continues to develop.

But one thing should always stay at the centre of what we do:

SAFETY.

For me, advanced training isn’t about collecting certificates…

It’s about understanding why we do what we do.
Knowing the anatomy beneath the skin.
Understanding where complications can occur.
Knowing how to reduce risk.
And ultimately becoming a safer, more knowledgeable practitioner for every person who trusts me with their face.

I came home from Italy with a completely refreshed perspective on facial anatomy and treatment planning….and I’m so excited to bring that knowledge back into House of Aesthetics Glasgow. 🤍 HOA
