FIVE WAYS MASSAGE REDUCES PAIN:

⚡️Increases circulation
⚡️Releases endorphins
⚡️Reduces muscle tension
⚡️Interrupts pain signals
⚡️Improved flexibility and range of motion

Pain isn’t something you have to live with - massage is a simple, effective way to help bring your body back into balance. 🌿✨

Taking time to move, breathe, and switch off.

Walking in nature has a way of resetting everything - not just your head, but your whole nervous system.

Your body wants to feel good - fresh air, movement, quiet moments…and maybe a massage or two for good measure! 🌿✨

Got a stiff neck (again)?
Shoulders feeling achey(again)?

It’s one of the most common things I treat and is usually a mix of posture, stress and general life catching up with you.

A massage can take the edge off and help your whole body (and brain) chill out for a bit.

If you’re feeling it lately, don’t wait for it to sort itself - come and get it sorted.

Stiffness, aches, fatigue - it’s your body asking for a bit of attention..ignoring it won’t make it go away!

Be proactive - take care of yourself now so you’re not playing catch up later.

The parasympathetic nervous system (PNS) is a crucial part of our autonomic nervous system, responsible for bringing the body back to a state of calm and balance after periods of stress or exertion.

It’s often called the ‘rest and digest’ system because it slows the heart rate, reduces blood pressure, and encourages digestion.

When the PNS is activated, it helps to counteract the effects of stress, allowing our muscles to relax, breathing to deepen, and tension to ease.

Touch has a powerful way of signaling safety and relaxation to the body, gently encouraging it to shift out of fight or flight mode.

A gentle, intentional touch can activate the PNS, guiding the body back to a sense of calm and comfort.

This is why practices that involve mindful touch, like massage, can be so effective for calming the mind and allowing the body to reset.

Looking to take better care of your lymphatic health? Here are some simple tips to help support your system:

✨Move your body: Exercise, even gentle movement, keeps lymph fluid flowing.

✨Deep breathing: Deep diaphragmatic breathing creates a pumping action that helps lymph circulate throughout the body.

✨Stay hydrated: Lymph fluid is 95% water, so proper hydration is key for smooth functioning.

✨Eat clean: Try and ditch the ultra-processed foods and opt for nutrient-dense whole foods.

✨De-stress: Stress negatively affects your lymphatic system. Find time to unwind.

✨Limit toxins: Be mindful of what you put on your skin (SPF, fake tan, make up etc) as your lymphatic system processes these substances.

✨Dry body brushing: Gently brush your skin before showering to stimulate lymph flow and exfoliate your skin.

✨ Lymphatic massage: Incorporate regular manual lymphatic massages to help keep your lymphatic system functioning optimally.

A stunning sunset from a stunning time in Ibiza celebrating my two stunning friends getting married.💛

After a heavy week of fun and excitement though, i can absolutely say I need a little R&R. 🫠🫠

Did you know that massage can boost your mood? It increases serotonin and dopamine levels in your body which are your natural feel good hormones. This helps reduce stress, anxiety, and symptoms of depression.

So if you’ve also been having a little too much fun in Ibiza and feel like your serotonin levels have taken a hit, trust me - a massage could be just what you need! 🤪

How is the lymphatic system related to your skin?

Your skin is your body’s largest organ, and it often reflects the state of its internal health.

The lymphatic system plays a crucial role in maintaining skin health, but it sometimes needs a little help to function properly. It lacks its own pump, relying instead on our body’s movement to carry out essential functions.

A sluggish lymphatic system can hinder the body’s ability to remove toxins, excess fluids, and cellular waste, resulting in compromised skin health. This can manifest in various skin complaints, from dullness and puffiness to acne and inflammation.

By stimulating lymphatic flow, lymphatic massage can help optimise your body’s detoxification pathways. This aids in clearing congestion, reducing swelling, and promoting the body’s natural cleansing mechanisms, revitalising the skin and helping bring it back to life! 💫✨”
