After a whirlwind 6 years on Victoria Road, filled with joy, growth and gratitude, we are moving to pastures new - a new private studio within the exciting creative hub of 5 Florence Street!

We’re going to be working from Victoria Road as normal throughout July, and will be moving to our new home in August.

We’ve been lucky to see Cùrlach turn from an idea in our heads to a place that is booked 2-3 months at a time, a radio show which allowed us to blend our love for music with our passion for this job, a space where new stylists could grow and later start their own businesses.

Since we started, much has changed in our professional and personal lives and needs, and we feel this is a time we want to reflect this in a new and more sustainable space, cosier and more relaxed, tucked away from the busy street. It is not a choice we made lightly, but one that respects where we’re at in our present, and aligns with the vision we have for the future.

This move will allow us to refine your client experience, putting into practise all the lessons we’ve learned from renovating and running the current space, alongside our accumulated 36 years in the industry, making our passions and interests play a larger role in the salon’s identity.

The new location will have a different set up: whilst functioning daily as a hair salon, it will also work as an arts and community space. Because of this, we will no longer have the capacity to rent chairs to self-employed stylists. We take this chance to thank each of them, both past and present. Everyone contributed to make Cùrlach what it is today, and we’re grateful to have shared this space with all of them.
In the early days hosting regular events and turning the salon into a community hub was central to us, that we unfortunately got to do less as the commitments of running a bigger business grew. We are so excited to be able to pick this back up, and can’t wait to share the new space with you all!
