✨ Sri Lankan Bridal Beauty at Gigi’s Yard ✨

Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of getting beautiful Sumaiya and her family hair ans make up ready for her wedding at the incredible GGis Yard 🤍
Sumaiya and her family are from Sri Lanka, and the wedding was nothing short of spectacular.

We first met for her trial after I travelled up to her hometown in the north east coast of Scotland, where we took the time to perfect every detail of her bridal look.
Makeup 💄:
Working with South Asian skin tones is something I absolutely love. Getting the complexion right isn't simply about matching a foundation shade — understanding undertones, natural pigmentation and using the correct colour correction around areas such as the eyes and mouth can make such a difference to the finished look.

Hair: Sumaiya originally planned to wear her hair completely down to showcase her gorgeous, natural 3B/3C curl pattern. However, Sumaiya decided to change to an updo.
Once I fitted her stunning Indian matha patti and pinned the bridal scarf (dupatta) into place, we pivoted to a beautiful updo.
She really wanted the style to honor her authentic, natural curl state, so we pinned it up gracefully while letting a few perfectly defined, soft tendrils frame her face

I absolutely loved creating this look for Sumaiya, and what an incredible wedding to be part of. 🤍

Love a tanned fresh make up look in summer
Nothing too heavy but more of a glow and the sunshine helps ☀️

I like using e.l.f. Cosmetics UK Halo Glow Liquid foundation then a little tiny amount of NARS Cosmetics radiant longwear with a damp sponge dabbed just in the very centre of my face, a very light application
I also prefer the MCoBeauty pressed powders over any other brand atm. High quality for a low price
A M·A·C Cosmetics bronzer and my fav blush is by Morphe - Cheeky Thrills in the palette called Yacht Day - it's the best with a cream and powers blush and a cream highlighter.
Their lip liners with any of the Maybelline New York Filter glossed are devine. Especially Moon which I'm wearing here, and Topaz - brides love them 😍
