A warm welcome to Octobers Spa Therapist Trainees in Level 2 Facial skincare & Level 3 body massage.
We have a mix of individual academy students who are changing careers and new Spa Trainees from Fletchers cottage and
This is our second last cohort of 2026, next intake begins 23rd November.
On Thursday, we were delighted to be invited by Dermalogica to the Scottish Parliament for the Sharps Standards event.
It was fantastic to see Dermalogica and BABTAC leading the way in championing safer practices, raising industry standards and providing clear, accessible guidance to support professionals across the beauty and aesthetics industry.
With legislative changes on the horizon, the importance of safe practice, professional responsibility and consistent industry standards has never been greater. Ensuring that practitioners have access to the right education, guidance and resources is essential in protecting both clients and professionals.
A huge well done to Dermalogica and BABTAC for their continued commitment to driving positive change, supporting our industry and helping to shape a safer, more accountable future.

Today marks an exciting day for The Academy (and Jenny) the online weekly theory video calls started with our new Spa partners at Sunnd studio and Spa for Cibtac Level 2 facial ahead of their practical training in December when Jenny heads out to Barbados to teach her new learners.
This is a big moment for The Academy becoming international trainers of ofqual regulated qualifications. Huge thank you to our brand partners ishga Skin Care Katherine for the introduction and the encouragement of regulated training.

In a world with so much negativity around, receiving a message like this from a previous student genuinely made our day.
Nina reached out to give us an update on how she’s getting on, and it was such a lovely reminder of why we do what we do. We always try to make sure every person who comes through our doors gets the support that’s right for them as an individual.
Knowing Nina has walked away with skills she’ll have for life makes it all worthwhile.
