In the ever changing landscape of the treatment room, this sofa has taken up residence for the week and will be returning to it's rightful room once it has been painted!

1. Your nervous system needs rest, not constant stimulation.
When stress continues for too long, it can begin to feel normal. Adequate sleep, quiet moments, slower routines, mindful breathing, and supportive environments can help your mind and body recover.
2. Thoughts are not always facts.
Just because your mind tells you something does not make it true. Anxiety, fear, and past experiences can influence how you interpret reality. Learn to observe your thoughts without automatically believing everything they say.
3. Unprocessed emotions deserve attention.
Emotions that are continually ignored may contribute to stress, irritability, exhaustion, sleep difficulties, or emotional numbness. Learning to recognize and express your feelings in healthy ways is an important part of emotional well-being.
4. Boundaries are essential for mental health.
Constantly overgiving, people-pleasing, and tolerating disrespect can gradually drain your emotional energy. Healthy boundaries allow you to care for others without abandoning your own needs.
5. Healing is not a straight line.
Some days you may feel strong. Other days, old emotions may return unexpectedly. A difficult day does not erase your progress. Healing involves patience, self-understanding, and the willingness to begin again.
6. Meaningful connections protect emotional well-being.
Loneliness can affect how you feel and cope with life's challenges. Safe relationships, honest conversations, and supportive people can remind you that you do not have to carry every burden alone.
7. Self-compassion is more helpful than self-hatred.
Many people speak to themselves more harshly than they would speak to someone they love. Real growth does not require cruelty toward yourself. Accountability and kindness can exist together.
8. You do not have to handle everything alone.
Seeking help is not a sign of weakness. Talking to someone you trust or consulting a qualified mental health professional can help you understand difficult emotions, develop healthier coping skills, and find a way forward.
Better Mental health is not simply about eliminating sadness or anxiety.
It is about learning to understand your mind, care for your body, build healthier relationships, and create a life where you have room to rest, recover, and grow.
Protect your peace.
Rest when you need to.
Feel your emotions honestly.
Ask for help when the burden becomes too heavy.
Remember: healing takes time, patience, and gentleness. You deserve the same compassion you so freely offer others.

Sometimes the aim of a treatment is to bring a client's pain level down which can consequently improve their quality of life. Sometimes a condition can't be healed, but maybe it can be helped by massage. Maybe with ongoing treatments it can improve a little bit more each time and we can reach a manageable level that we can maintain.
The frequency required for treatment is very individual.

The training we get for sports massage is so much more in depth when it comes to muscles and how they work. My sports massage is always within a clients pain threshold, even if that threshold is really low. Communication with the client is very important, to make sure they're ok.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first ballet class since the age of 11 today. There is lots of room for improvement & I completely trust APEX ARTS in helping me do so!!

Tough gym session this morning! An (unusaul) 3 days of drinking, with consequently poor quality sleep, does not make for much energy! It was a mental battle to keep at it but I ramped up the tunes and I managed it!! 🙌😁
