Whether you’re interested in IPL hair removal or IPL skin therapies, your consultation is the first step to achieving safe and effective results.

Here’s what you can expect:

🤍 We’ll ask about any previous treatments you’ve had.
🤍 We’ll go through your medical history.
🤍 We’ll discuss the area(s) you’d like to treat.
🤍 We’ll assess your skin using the Fitzpatrick Scale to determine if IPL is suitable for you.
🤍 We’ll check for any contraindications to ensure treatment will be safe for you.

Once we’ve gathered all the information, we’ll explain how the treatment works, what you can expect, and answer any questions you may have.

We’ll then give you time to read through and sign your consent and aftercare forms, so you feel fully informed before treatment begins.

Finally, before carrying out your test patch, we’ll take a photo of the treatment area. This allows us to monitor your progress throughout your treatment course and keep an eye on your results and any skin reactions.

🚫 Think twice before reaching for the tweezers…

Many people automatically pluck unwanted facial hairs, but did you know this could actually make the problem worse?

Repeatedly plucking fine/thicker/darker facial hairs—especially in hormonally sensitive areas like the chin, jawline, upper lip and neck—can sometimes stimulate dormant hair follicles. Over time, those soft/thick/dark/fine hairs may become thicker, darker and more noticeable, meaning you end up with more hair to manage than when you first started.

So, what’s the better option?

✨ Electrolysis is the only permanent method of hair removal. Instead of repeatedly pulling hairs out and encouraging an ongoing cycle of regrowth, electrolysis treats each hair follicle individually to permanently stop future hair growth.

If you’re not ready for electrolysis just yet, shaving is actually a better temporary option than plucking. Shaving doesn’t stimulate or damage the follicle in the same way repeated plucking can, and despite the myth, it does not make hair grow back thicker.
