Dermaplaning.
Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure using a fine scalpel at a 45 degree angle to exfoliate the epidermis and rid the skin of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). Using a scalpel and a delicate touch, the therapist abrades the surface of the skin using light feathering stokes.
Benefits of dermaplaning-
• Non invasive
• Can treat fine lines and wrinkles with regular treatments
• Helps with mild acne scarring
• Anti ageing
• Pain free
• Removes peach fuzz & dead skin cells
• Brighter/healthier appearance
• Glowing skin
• Can be used as preparation for chemical peels/laser
• Increases cell turn over in the skin
• Flawless make up application
• Skin care products work better as they can pe*****te deeper into the skin

Visited the amazing Emma for a clean up on my brows and an amazing facial to get me ready for my weekend away. Emma made me totally at ease and during my facial had me so relaxed throughout. My skin felt amazing and was glowing for days afterwards. Will always recommend Emma to everyone looking for the best experience.
First picture is right after my amazing dermaplaning facial with LED therapy and second picture is 2 days later on route to Newcastle.
Skin is glowing🤩

Here’s a little reminder of what the sun can do for your body and mind, and it’s shining here right now
1. Brightens your day and your mood! Sunshine causes the release of endorphins such as serotonin; proven to improve mood and energy, increase feelings of calm and focus, boost our mood, and decrease stress.
2. Up your energy - sunshine prevents the over-production of that naughty sleep-inducing hormone, melatonin, which your body produces as soon as it’s dark… want to feel awake, lively and energised? Is it time to shake off the sleepyhead dozy feeling? You need sunshine!
3. Sleep better. A little bit of sun is all you need to regulate your circadian rhythms, by balancing serotonin and melatonin production, it improves the quality of sleep, eases symptoms of depression, and aids concentration. Not that you’ll need to concentrate on much if you stay with us, but how much will it help when you get back to work? (Work? shhh! Sorry, we won’t say it again…)
4. It’s a Vitamin D Party! When the sun caresses your skin, it causes the production of vitamin D, well-known for promoting healthy bones and teeth, but Vitamin D also does so much more:
o improves the functioning of the brain, which can improve memory and protect against brain-ageing/dementia.
o supports; anti-cancer cells (T-cells), the immune system, excess fat loss
o and is one of the treatments for decreasing asthma symptoms.
As if that’s not enough already, Vitamin D has been linked to eye health too.
5. Sun-kissed (not burnt) Skin is Happy Skin: by causing the production of nitric oxide, the sun helps protect your skin against UV damage and promotes healing (apparently German soldiers used the sunlight to disinfect and heal wounds). It can also be beneficial for skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, acne and fungal infections.
6. Pain relief (possibly not including hangovers, though a snooze in the hammock could help ease that too): research studies have found links between sunlight and the relief of pain, especially from rheumatoid arthritis and joint problems.
7. Better blood, better body: sunlight lowers cholesterol, by converting high cholesterol in the blood into hormones. There’s also believed to be a link between sun exposure and an increase in metabolism; it makes sense that if you’re having a cold winter your metabolism slows down to store fat and keep you warm, makes better sense to be where the sun shines then, doesn’t it?
8. The studies say it’s true - Cancer Prevention
We’re aware of the dangers of excess sun exposure, but did you know that a moderate amount of sunlight can help prevent some types of cancer? According to studies, the more sun there is during the day, the less likely it is that you’ll have several cancers. Seems believable if you consider all the links with the additional benefits below…
9. Immune system boosting sunshine: the white blood cells in our bodies, which defend against and fight infections, increase after moderate sun exposure and prepare to battle for your body!
10. Sunlight can treat the blood and blood vessels; it’s been shown that the health of people with hardened arteries improves with sun exposure, and with nitric oxide being released as soon as sunlight touches the skin, it can lower blood pressure too. Add the increased oxygen content in blood from the sunlight, and your blood, tissues, muscles and organs are all good to go!

Skin fatigue happens a lot but is not often talked about!
Skin fatigue accelerates the aging process and hinders the skins’ ability to repair itself.
Skin fatigue is mainly caused by a combination of lifestyle- and stress-related factors—like lack of sleep and exercise, smoking and unhealthy diet, to name a few—as well as environmental aggressors like pollution and sun exposure. When under constant stress, your adrenal glands release the stress hormone cortisol that, in turn, affects blood flow throughout the body and damages the collagen in your skin. This accelerates the aging process and hinders your skin’s ability to repair itself, resulting to skin fatigue.
The main indicators of skin fatigue are
• Dullness,
• Large pores
• Persistent dryness.
• Dark under eye circles
• Puffiness
Fatigued skin also doesn’t reflect light well, so skin looks generally tired. If you find your skin looking sallow, feeling more parched than usual and no longer responding to the products you’ve been using, your skin is most probably fatigued.
How to help
A hydrating glow inducing facial will put your complexion back into gear.

What is an Eyelash lift?
One way to think of a lash lift is like a perm for your eyelashes.
Unlike a lash extension, a lash lift simply alters the shape and colour of your natural lashes. In most people, lashes grow out, rather than up.
However, upward growing lashes will give a more cosmetically pleasing appearance.
The treatment involves “boosting and lifting each individual lash, before tinting them for thicker, darker, longer-looking lashes.

The 5 benefits of a facial massage.
1. Relieves tension
When the muscles on your face tense up, they are more likely to harbour wrinkles, which is why they need to be massaged out regularly. All it takes is 1 to 2 minutes per day to relax. However, the length of time for a facial massage required depends on your skin type. For oily and acne-prone skin, it’s best to keep it to under 10 minutes. If the skin has a normal to dry complexion, no longer than 20 minutes is necessary (too much stimulation can lead to breakouts). Employ different techniques: try soft tapping and pinching motions—don’t pull at the skin—starting from the inside of the face and working your way out. Always massage in an upward circular motion. You want to work against gravity so that everything goes up!
2. Increases circulation
Just like how you would massage a tender shoulder or back, your face muscles require the same TLC. Increase blood and oxygen flow to the face by massaging the soft lines around the mouth, eyes and brows. Start upward, Massage the neck and décolletage area, gently working toward the forehead and tending to the pressure points along the way. Be sure to concentrate on the delicate skin around the eye area with gentle circular motions. And after stepping out of a hot shower, splash cold water against the skin—the contrast also helps to stimulate blood circulation.
3. It’s a natural facelift
Stimulating the face muscles with regular massage helps to bring oxygen to that area—which is a natural form of anti-ageing skin care in itself. More blood flow to the area increases collagen production, which gives a healthy and natural glow to the complexion.
4. Allows face products to absorb better into the skin
Increase the effectiveness of your facial treatments by incorporating a massage into your at-home skincare routine. Spend a few minutes with yourself. At night, cleanse the skin, and apply your serum and moisturizer with gentle tapping motions. “It helps the product absorb more easily into the skin.”
5. You’ll look younger!
Depending on the condition of your skin, your age, skincare goals and budget, regular facial treatments—that incorporate some form of muscle stimulation through massage—work in combination with daily skincare to improve the overall appearance of your skin: anywhere from once a month (for normal to dry skin) to every two weeks (for combination or acne-prone skin) is recommended.

✨What is Glowing Skin? Moist and soft - not dull dry or flaky. Here are some quick tips to improve your glow💋
1. Stay Hydrated
2. Know Your Skin
Do you have oily skin, dry skin or combination? Take stock of what your skin is up to by looking at the size of your pores and where you typically get oily or dry.
3. Don’t Forget Your Fruits and Veggies
You may have what you need for healthy skin already laying around the house or in your kitchen. “Green tea and chamomile extracts soothe the skin,”
4. Look for Products Containing Ceramides
“Ceramides are one of the naturally occurring lipids in the lipid barrier of the cell membrane. It is an important component of skin hydration and barrier. They are often placed in formulations that don’t clog pores.”
5. Enhance Your Natural Glow with Makeup
One of the quickest ways to make your skin glow is by finishing your look with a luminescent highlighter or a hydrating setting spray. Swipe on a powder, cream or liquid highlighter to give your skin an instant glow. Set your makeup with a hydrating setting spray to keep your makeup from melting off, while increasing your skin’s glow.
