I always do my best and respond to every enquiry, even if I’m unavailable on your date. If I can’t accommodate your booking, I’ll happily recommend other trusted artists who may be able to help.

Something many couples don’t realise is that makeup artists and other wedding suppliers often work closely together and regularly support one another. Whether it’s recommending trusted professionals, helping when someone is unavailable, or working together on larger weddings, having a strong network within the wedding industry helps ensure you receive the best possible service.

One small favour I would ask is that if you decide to book another supplier, please send a quick email back to let me know. A simple message is always appreciated and really helps me keep my diary up to date and respond to other enquiries as efficiently as possible.

I’m sure I speak on behalf of many wedding suppliers when I say that we spend a lot of time responding to enquiries, checking availability, preparing information, and often keeping dates pencilled in while conversations are ongoing. A quick update, whether it’s a yes, a no, or even “we’re still deciding”, is always so appreciated and helps us keep our diaries up to date for everyone enquiring. 🫶🏻

40 years ago today, my Mum and Dad said ‘I do’ ❤️

And yes ... it was Friday the 13th! 😂

Dad was 23 and Mum was just 21.�
They got married at Bearsden Registry Office, followed by a buffet at my Gran’s house and then a party at what was then The Wickets Hotel in Partick.

My Mum had her hair blow dried and did her own makeup.

In true Scottish style, I’ve been told Mum nearly ended up in a square go with the DJ when he said he couldn’t play her first dance song - “Love Song” by Simple Minds! 😂

On their wedding day, Scotland were playing Uruguay in the World Cup, and 40 years later they’ll be spending their Ruby Wedding Anniversary watching Scotland play Haiti this evening - or should I say early tomorrow morning!! ⏰⚽️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Working in the bridal industry, I’m constantly surrounded by Pinterest boards, getting-ready reels, wedding hashtags, and all the beautiful details that make a wedding day feel complete. But these photos bring me back to what really matters.
No social media. No Pinterest boards. No getting-ready reels or pressure over the small things. Just two people in love, making a lifelong commitment to each other.

One of my favourite details is that Mum did her own makeup on her wedding day. Little did she know that 40 years later she’d have a daughter who would make a career out of helping brides get ready for theirs 🥰

These photos are proof that the wedding day is only the beginning. What followed was 40 years of love, laughter, family, memories, support through life’s ups and downs, and countless football matches along the way!

I think it’s safe to say Friday the 13th turned out to be a pretty lucky day after all 🍀
