This is my friend Nicola. She’s a great therapist! She’s the one who booted my backside a few years ago and told me I should get back to doing my therapies. I’m glad she did 🥰 I’m glad she’s getting back into the therapy world as we need more quality, experienced therapists ❤️❤️

Results day! Remember….theres always another way 💁🏼‍♀️
I fluffed my exams but I got into college after charming the course administrator.
I went into Clydebank college to speak about what I should concentrate on at school after failing my exams. I was so down 😔 but I had a great chat with this lady and a couple of days later she called to say someone had pulled out the beauty course and there was a place for me if I wanted 🎉
Don’t give up! ❤️❤️

This….❤️❤️

Resonate with anyone ?
As i’ve grown as a person and of course grown older too I have fewer people in my life. The people that are in my life are the ones that make me feel good when i’m around them and hopefully I do the same for them.

I give no apologies for where I choose to step away from people. I do this for me, to protect my well-being and my health.

Your environment has one of the biggest impacts on you and I adjust my environment whenever things aren’t sitting well within me, just as nature does.

I don’t do drama or need to create a scene around this, I quietly let go and release anything that makes me feel less than good .

I nurture the relationships that make me feel good and I prioritise these people in my life. I refuse to people please just to be liked and part of some “ circle “. i create meaningful connections built on honesty, trust, respect and kindness. These relationships sometimes have bumps along the way but we all learn and grow closer while moving past the bumps . No pointing no blaming just learning and growing .

The ones that truly matter make me feel safe, supported and I hope I make them feel that way too .

Life is so very short nurture the people who spark a light within you .

Boring uninteresting fact about me…

I’ve watched “Frasier” on repeat for years 😂 something to do with ADHD I believe 💁🏼‍♀️ “Modern Family” is another favourite. Brings me comfort.

Have you tried myofascial release yet? It’s an incredible treatment. Take a look at this interesting post ⬇️
Btw I have no idea who John f barnes is 😆 don’t think it’s the footballer 😛

Massage and Myofascial Release Are NOT the Same.

People often ask me,
“Isn’t Myofascial Release just a massage?”

The answer is no.

While both use therapeutic touch, their purpose and approach are very different.

💜 Massage primarily focuses on muscles. It often uses oils or lotion with gliding strokes to help improve circulation, decrease muscle tension, and promote relaxation.

💜 John F. Barnes Myofascial Release focuses on the fascial system—the three-dimensional web of connective tissue that surrounds every muscle, nerve, blood vessel, bone, and organ in your body.

When fascia becomes restricted from trauma, inflammation, surgery, repetitive stress, or unresolved emotional trauma, it can create up to 2,000 pounds of pressure per square inch on pain-sensitive structures.

This is why the place you feel pain is often not where the problem began.

Unlike massage, John F. Barnes Myofascial Release uses gentle, sustained pressure—typically holding restrictions for 3–5 minutes or longer—allowing the fascia to soften and release naturally. There are no oils or lotions, because the therapist needs to engage the fascial system rather than glide across the skin.

The goal isn’t simply to relax tight muscles.

It’s to help restore freedom throughout the entire body by addressing the restrictions that may be contributing to pain, limited movement, and compensation patterns.

✨ Different techniques.
✨ Different intention.
✨ Different results.

As John F. Barnes says,
“Find the pain. Look elsewhere for the cause.”

💜 Have you ever experienced John F. Barnes Myofascial Release? What did you notice that was different from a traditional massage?

It’s so easy to become lost and overwhelmed. So consumed by everybody else’s needs and wants that you’ve no clue who you are or if you even have needs of your own.
Give yourself permission to explore and accept yourself. This is true self care.
