I can confirm the following funeral arrangements for my wonderful wife Laura:

Tuesday 3rd February - Church receiving 6.30pm St John the Baptist Church, 136 lower Millgate, Uddingston, G71 7AH

Wednesday 4th February - 9.30am Mass St John the Baptist church, thereafter to Daldowie Crematorium for 11am

We welcome family and friends to thereafter attend at The Castle Rooms, 63 Old Mill Road, Uddingston, G71 7PE where the wake will be held.

I am devastated to have to announce the passing of the kind face herself Laura Marie Strathearn after a long and brave battle with cancer.
She passed away in the early hours of Sunday 11th January in the Beatson surrounded by her family.
Laura was a truly inspirational human being, maintaining such a passion for making others feel beautiful whilst dealing with her illness.
She was a beautiful person inside and out and she will be missed terribly.
Please do not send any flowers, instead make a donation to the Beatson cancer charity who took such good care of her.
I will keep this page open for a week or two and try to get back to any enquiries that are outstanding.

Good luck to everyone this year. I was apprehensive last year , putting my business forward and entering the awards, but it's the best thing I've ever done. Winning was absolutely overwhelming and I will be forever proud and thankful to my clients and SHABA for providing a platform to showcase my services. The hair and beauty industry is one of the biggest and when I was sitting in business school all those years ago I never ever thought I would own my own beauty business. Best decision I ever made!! ❤️ 10 years in business this year wow 👌

💫 Surrogacy 💫

This is a different type of post for me, but I feel it's only right to be transparent for such a life event, surrogacy. To those who know me or will get to know me in the future, I'm being brave here or trying to be...

Each individual will have their own opinion on this subject, but with our situation, I am now unable to carry a child due to an incurable illness. So, any negative comments, please refrain, as this is a fragile topic of conversation. And a decision that has not been made lightly.

Fraser and I are a loving couple (if I don't say so myself and I know I'm very lucky to have found my soul mate) . We have two embryos stored in Glasgow Royal Hospital and are looking into ' finding our person ' to help us carry a child into this world. A person we can trust and know will be in our lives going forward in whatever way they wish.

We have had several people approach us but for one reason or another it hasn't been meant. Recently, our beautiful friend offered to do this for us, but unfortunately after conversations with the surrogacy experts , this wasn't able to go ahead due to her own health being at risk. We could never jeopardise someone's health, and needless to say, she is now considered family, even more selfless, and someone with a heart of gold.

So, we now find ourselves looking for someone suitable who may be able to help us navigate the world of surrogacy.

In life, I've been asked numerous times, "How many children do you have?" In fact, I've lost two pregnancies as I've been pregnant twice. And that itself is a heartache.

I am so honoured to be an auntie to my beautiful nephews and nieces. And our family is just wonderful. Fraser and I are so lucky to have the support of them.

However, we have decided to put our wishes out to the universe to see if any more miraclous people come our way.

This is a choice that embodies love and optimism, with our dream of creating a family.

As we continue on this heartfelt journey, we hope to 'normalise' this method of starting a family.

This world needs more compassion and kindness, so we hope that we receive this from you all.

Happy New Year when it comes, everyone. Tonight is a quiet night for my husband and I (plus our Maggie woof woof) to reflect on what a year we have had together. And of course alongside our wonderful family and friends.

It wouldn't have been possible without all of your votes and support.

My beauty workshop is my sanctuary, allowing me to switch off to reality and the tough times life throws at us all. Hopefully you all feel the calming energy too and leave feeling "beautified" .

We will continue to make more memories together next year in my beauty workshop and of course make room for the belly laughs.

I am switching off over the next few days to enjoy quality time with my family. Oh and it's Maggies first Christmas.

Remember guys social media,for me, shows snippets of my work and I post highlights of happy times and cherished memories. But switching off social media for a few days is good for the soul as it allows you to be present in the moment.
