Something really important is happening in Glasgow — and we’re incredibly proud to be involved.

Men Matter Scotland is a charity dedicated to improving men’s mental health, preventing su***de and, most importantly, making sure no man feels like he has to face things alone.

Their approach is different. It’s built around men supporting men — people with lived experience helping others who might be going through their own darkest periods.

And it’s not just about sitting down and talking.

Men Matter offers FREE support and activities, including:

🗣️ Peer-to-peer support & confidential talking groups
🤝 One-to-one support, including support for men in crisis
🧠 Mental health & self-management sessions
💬 Counselling and therapeutic support
🏋️ Gym and fitness sessions
❄️ Cold-water therapy & breathwork
🎨 Art, music and creative activities
🎣 Fishing and outdoor activities
💼 Employability support
👨‍👧 Shared parenting advice
…and a whole range of other activities designed to build confidence, connection and wellbeing.

There’s no judgement, no diagnosis required and no waiting list for immediate support — just somewhere men can come through the door, feel welcome and speak to somebody who understands. (MEN MATTER SCOTLAND)

This is where we’re incredibly proud to play our part.

As a barber shop and a place where men already come through the doors every single day, Legacy has a unique opportunity to help break down the stigma around men talking about their mental health.

The barber chair has always been more than just a haircut.

It’s a place where conversations happen.

Where men open up.

Where you can sometimes spot that someone isn’t quite themselves.

And through our connection with Men Matter Scotland, we want to help make sure that when those conversations happen, there is somewhere to turn.

Legacy is proud to support, promote and help connect men with the incredible work Men Matter Scotland are doing.

Because sometimes the hardest part isn’t getting help…

It’s knowing where to go.

If you, a mate, a brother, a dad, a son or anyone you know is struggling — please don’t wait until things get worse.

There is support available. There are people who understand. And there is a place where you can walk through the door and simply be yourself.

The guys are out over at the East End today. Legacy Gents Stylists in Duke St. We have a drop in from 11am to 3pm. If you or anyone you know would like to come along and speak to some please feel free.
