Yesterday I spent the day at the Dermalogica Training Centre learning all about Reactive Skin — the causes, the conditions that can affect our skin, and how the right treatments , products and lifestyle changes can help support it. 💜

Our morning was packed with learning about conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, rosacea and psoriatic arthritis, as well as the differences between immunogenic and neurogenic inflammation.

In the afternoon, we were treated to a gorgeous Pro Calm skin treatment followed by the most amazing Stress Relief Scalp Therapy.

✨ Stepping outside my comfort zone… ✨

Last night I had the absolute pleasure of being invited to be a guest speaker, talking about my experience of running my VIP client broadcast list for Dermalogica.

I have to admit… I was SO nervous! 😬😂 Public speaking is definitely not something that comes naturally to me, and I spent far too much time beforehand worrying about what I was going to say and imagining everything that could possibly go wrong! 🙈

But do you know what? I’m still here to tell the tale! 😂❤️ And actually… it wasn’t nearly as scary as I had built it up in my head to be.

It was such a lovely evening, and I really enjoyed sharing what I’ve learned, chatting with everyone and hopefully giving a few little tips that might help others too.

It’s funny how often we convince ourselves that something is going to be terrifying, when actually, once we take that first step, we realise we’re more capable than we thought we were.

Sometimes we just have to push ourselves a little bit outside that comfort zone… even when our nerves are screaming at us not to! 😂

So I’m feeling pretty proud of myself today for saying yes to something that really did scare me. 💕

A little reminder to myself — and maybe to anyone else who needs to hear it — don’t always let your nerves make the decision for you. You might surprise yourself. I’d also like to say a big thankyou to all of you guys on the list who interact and make it worthwhile running and giving me the topic to chat about. ❤️✨
