✨ Manual Lymphatic Massage ✨

Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) can help clear brain fog and low energy by supporting the body’s fluid balance and waste removal pathways.

When lymph flow slows down due to stress, lack of movement, or tight fascia, fluid and waste can build up, leading to fatigue and a heavy, foggy feeling in the head.

The lymphatic and glymphatic systems help clear cellular waste and proteins from tissues and the brain.

This gentle, rhythmic massage technique stimulates the lymphatic vessels just beneath the skin to encourage fluid to move back into circulation

How can you support this at home?

Deep Breathing: Diaphragmatic breathing expands the thoracic duct and acts as a pump to encourage lymph circulation.

Gentle Movement: Short walks or light rebounding on a mini-trampoline activate your muscles to help move fluid.

Hydration: Drinking enough water keeps lymph fluid less viscous and easier for the body to filter.Targeted

Massage: Light self-massage along the neck and collarbone can help release superficial tension around key drainage pathways

✨ I got asked this today ✨

I had a client that had travelled to Glossop to see his family and he’d been booked in by his son (a regular client). He’d never had a Sports Massage before and at the end of the treatment he asked ‘how could I find someone like you, near where I live? What would I look for?’

Good question!
Personally these are the main things I’d look for, after a google search!

Try a few! I like to go to different therapists for different treatments.

I had a client who burst through my door and announced ‘Sam, I cheated on you, but I’m back and I won’t do it again! I hated it!’ I don’t see it as cheating 🤣 Absolutely free choice, but do come back and tell me why!

Have I missed anything? What would you look for?

✨ Why strength train? ✨

💪 Builds muscle - by creating microscopic tension and tears in muscle fibres that your body repairs and grows larger to handle future resistance.

💪 Strengthens bones -The physical stress of lifting weights nudges bone cells to create denser and stronger bones, lowering fracture risks.

💪 Protects Joints - Stronger muscles around joints improve stability and reduce daily pain or injury risks.

💪 Improves Daily Life - Building functional strength makes everyday tasks like carrying your groceries, climbing stairs, or playing sports much easier.

💪 Not to mention it’s fun and you can see measurable improvements in your strength and your body composition if you train properly!

Just remember to warm up, cool down, fuel properly and take your recovery as seriously as your training… which is where I come in! 🙋🏼‍♀️🤣

❤️ Why? Because I love it ❤️

Well, except Thursday’s and Sunday’s, my hands need time to recover 🤣
