From 1st July all appointments will be based at Bearlands Lodge Gloucester (5 minute walk / 2 minute drive from my current location)

I had the opportunity to take on a bigger work space with lots of natural lighting and free parking for myself & all clients!

I also have an amazing bridal hair stylist who will also be based in one of my rooms from July too!
This would provide future brides the perfect opportunity to book hair and makeup creatives who both work closely together and potentially book in a hair & makeup trial on the same day under one location to invision the look as one.

Teckels Animal Sanctuary launches national appeal to avoid immediate closure...

As an independent animal welfare charity, we are close to breaking point, and we need your help to ensure we can continue offering the much-needed care and love for abandoned animals in our local area. The data below highlights just some of the factors that have led to this vulnerable and worrying position for all animal welfare charities across the UK.


🐾 22,908 animals were left by their owners in 2022 (source:RSPCA)

🐾 There is a 10% decline in animals being rehomed each year (source:RSPCA)

🐾 Electricity costs have increased by 66.7% and gas 129.4% (source: ONS)

🐾 Donations have decreased considerably over the past 6 months

There are 3 key factors that have hit all animal welfare charities hard:

1. Rise in costs

2. Drop in donations

3. Influx of animals being relinquished

As a result of the above, here at Teckels we are now facing the devastating prospect of potential closure. Put simply, we have just TWO MONTHS to stabilise our financial position to avoid immediate closure.

The release of this national appeal is one final plea for the nation to help save Teckels and the vital rescue and rehabilitation work that we do for abandoned cats and dogs. We also aim to raise awareness of the severity of this national crisis which is affecting all animal welfare charities across the UK.

Sarah Johnson Centre Manager says:

“It’s heartbreaking to think that we may not be around to help the increasing numbers of unwanted cats and dogs in their time of need. Not only would the closure of Teckels have a huge impact on the staff, the stray animals, and anyone local who needs us, but would also put a massive strain on our colleagues at our neighbouring rescues.”
