From Side Hustle to Full-Time Dream ✨💅

It all started back in 2020… I had just qualified in Classic lashes and then straight into lockdown– just looking for a little side hustle and some extra pocket money at 16 not knowing what was around the corner.

By 2021, I was out of college (shoutout to the Fashion Retail Academy 👋) with a diploma in fashion business, and had added Russian lashes, waxing, and spray tans to my skillset. I had no idea back then how important those steps would become.

2022 was a year of juggling! I qualified in lash lifts and spray tans, worked shifts at Bill’s restaurant and in a boutique, all while slowly building my client base on the side. It was chaotic, but I was determined.

Then came 2023 – I took a “proper job” as a construction recruiter in London because I didn’t think beauty would ever be “enough.” It was what everyone told me I should do. But my heart was still in beauty. That year, I completed my Level 2 & 3 in Beauty Therapy and finally opened my own outdoor salon. A scary but exciting leap!

In 2024, I made the big decision to go fully self-employed in January. I left my job, qualified in bouncy blow-dries and advanced skin treatments, and went all-in on growing my business, skills, and client base. Every day felt like a step closer to where I wanted to be.

Now in 2025, I’ve redecorated my home salon, perfected every treatment I offer, completed my advanced HD Brow course, and celebrated 5 amazing years in the beauty industry. I’m so proud (and grateful!) to say I’m now working full-time, with an incredible group of loyal clients and something very exciting coming soon 👀💖
