The Corner Retreat Churchdown

What a lovely week at The Corner Retreat, welcoming new faces and familiar ones back through the gate 🌿

I’ve found such kind words in the guest book, and received a lovely personal message from one of my regular guests after tonight’s sauna and cold plunge session. It means so much to hear that you’ve enjoyed your time here.

Thank you to everyone who visited this week. I love sharing this little space with you 🤍

Over the last few years, my body and mind have naturally drawn me towards the places where I find peace and quiet.

That’s usually by the water, out on a walk, or in the sauna—sometimes alone and sometimes with company.

Today I felt tired, sluggish, unmotivated and emotional, so I headed straight to where I knew I needed to be. I didn’t need to push through it or fix everything—I just needed to pause, listen to myself and be still for a while.

Sometimes wellbeing is simply recognising what you need and allowing yourself to have it. 🤍

🌿 A new aromatherapy blend at The Corner Retreat 🌿

Women’s Balance is a beautifully soothing blend of geranium, orange, frankincense, bergamot, Spanish marjoram, rose, clary sage and copaiba.

Floral, gently uplifting and comforting—created to encourage a sense of calm, balance and relaxation. 🧖‍♀️✨

Let me know before your session if you would like to try this one in your sauna-stone water.

The nights are getting darker and The Corner Retreat is feeling cosier than ever ✨🔥

Warm sauna light, peaceful evenings and a little place to switch off and unwind 🤎

🌲 This week’s most popular sauna oil blend is Fresh Forest — a refreshing mix of eucalyptus, pine and cedarwood.

One of the loveliest parts of welcoming returning guests is getting to know their favourite blend and having it ready for them when they arrive. 🌿🧖‍♀️

Which blend would you choose — Fresh Forest, Clear & Cooling or Warm & Relaxing?

Slow mornings at The Corner Retreat 🤎

Swapping the morning coffee for a cup of ceremonial cacao today — a little experiment to see how it feels for steadier energy. 🍫🌿

One of my favourite things about this space is that it reminds me to slow down too.

Fresh air, a warm mug and a few peaceful minutes beside the sauna before the day begins.

Wellness doesn’t always have to be complicated. Sometimes it’s simply creating a little space to pause. 🌿
