A BBC News investigation has highlighted a growing concern in beauty: young girls, some as young as eight, developing obsessive multi-step skincare routines with products never intended for young skin.
Dermatologists have coined a term for it: cosmeticorexia, and the physical and psychological impacts are very real.
As beauty professionals, we have a responsibility to be aware of this issue, help cut through the noise and offer trusted, age-appropriate guidance to clients, parents and young people.
