I've recently received a lot of questions about lymphatic drainage massage, so I thought I’d explain what the treatment involves 😊
First of all, it’s important to know that this is not a traditional massage and it does not involve deep pressure on the muscles.
Manual lymphatic drainage uses very gentle, slow and rhythmic movements designed to support the body's natural lymphatic flow.
The treatment can include the face, neck, abdomen, arms and legs. Depending on your individual needs, additional attention can be given to specific areas of the body.
During the treatment you remain in your underwear and are comfortably covered with towels to ensure privacy and comfort throughout the session.
💆‍♀️ What does it feel like? Most clients describe the treatment as deeply relaxing and calming. Many people are surprised by how gentle the technique feels.
💧 What should I do afterwards? • drink plenty of water, • avoid excessive alcohol consumption for the next 24 hours, • allow yourself time to rest and listen to your body.
😴 Can I feel tired afterwards? Some people feel sleepy and relaxed after treatment, while others report feeling refreshed and energised. Everyone responds differently.
