You can really feel the seasons changing now…

Cooler mornings, the heating going on earlier, evenings drawing in and still that lovely warm sunshine in the middle of the day.

The duvets are back on the beds too, ready for that extra snuggle during your treatment.

A little reminder that we do have availability, and if you can’t find the appointment you want online, please do add yourself to our waitlist as it’s the first place we look when cancellations come in.

Bella is still working towards her one facial every working day challenge, with complimentary LED Light Therapy included with her 60-minute facials throughout September.

Charlotte is also now offering more treatments as she gets closer to finishing her apprenticeship, which is lovely to see.

And yes… Christmas gifting is already beginning to arrive too.

There’s a definite change in the air now.

Cooler, fresher mornings, the light beginning to soften and fade a little earlier, the occasional shower… yet still some beautifully warm September days.

Autumn doesn’t arrive all at once. It quietly starts to make itself known.

Maybe there’s something rather lovely in that - a reminder that we don’t always have to rush from one season, or one thing, straight into the next.

Today, just enjoy where you are.

A slower morning.
A walk in the fresh air.
A cup of something warm.
Or simply a little time with nowhere you need to be.

A September Saturday at The Fountain 💜

There’s lots happening in the salon at the moment, so a little weekend update…

Clare has a rare appointment available on Monday at 2pm and Hayley has Wednesday at 4pm free, so if you’ve been meaning to book something in, this could be your chance.

Charlotte has now completed her facial module and is able to offer even more treatments as she heads towards the final stages of her Level 2 apprenticeship. We love seeing our apprentices build their skills properly in the salon — there really is no substitute for hands-on experience.

And Bella is still working towards her one facial every working day September challenge.

She’s had such lovely support already from clients booking in with her, which has been wonderful to see.

Throughout September, when you book a 60-minute facial with Bella, we’ll include complimentary LED Light Therapy with your treatment.

So whether it’s a facial, massage or just a little time out, there are a few lovely reasons to get booked in this week.

September is Gynaecological Cancer Awareness Month 💜

Every day in the UK, 60 women receive a life-changing gynaecological cancer diagnosis.

And yet awareness is still worryingly low.

There are five gynaecological cancers: womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal but only a very small proportion of people can name all five, let alone recognise the signs and symptoms.

This matters because too many women still dismiss changes, put symptoms down to hormones, age or “just one of those things”, and delay getting checked.

At The Fountain, we are proud to support GRACE a local charity helping women affected by gynaecological cancers and working hard to improve awareness, education and earlier diagnosis.

So this month, we’ll be helping to keep the conversation going.

Know your body. Notice changes. Speak up. Get checked.

It really could make all the difference. 💜

Sunday Pause 🍂

There’s still plenty of sunshine around this weekend, but you can definitely feel the seasons beginning to change.

The mornings are a little cooler, the evenings are drawing in and, rather tellingly, the salon heating came on for the first time this week.

Which means the duvets are back too ready for that extra bit of warmth and cosiness during facials and treatments.

September always feels like a gentle turning point. Not quite autumn, not quite summer… just a reminder to slow down a little and enjoy the change of pace.

How is it September already?

After a very busy August and a lovely Bank Holiday break, we’re back today and ready for a new month at The Fountain.

This September, we have a little salon goal…

A facial a day for Bella! ✨

Bella is now trained and offering our Environ facials, as well as The Fountain Signature Facial and NeurotriS, and we’d really love to get her hands busy and help her build her own lovely facial clientele.

And while we’re talking skin, September is also going to be the month we shine a little more light on our Dermalux LED. 🔴🔵

And with Bank Holiday Monday tomorrow, we’ve been gifted an extra day before September and all that comes with it.

So no need to rush into the new month just yet.

A slower morning, another cup of tea, perhaps a walk later and just enjoying having nowhere we particularly need to be.

September can wait until Tuesday.
