It happens every year… December arrives and suddenly everyone needs their hair done! 😂

Our Christmas appointments fill extremely quickly, so if you already know you’ll want an appointment in December, please don’t leave it until the last minute. Once the diary is full, we simply cannot create extra hours!

🎅 IMPORTANT DECEMBER BOOKING POLICY

To keep things fair and to protect our limited Christmas availability, ALL December appointments must be paid in full at the time of booking.

December is one of the busiest times of the year for any salon, and unfortunately it also brings a significant increase in no-shows and last-minute cancellations. When an appointment is missed, that valuable slot could have been offered to another client who was waiting for an appointment.

So, rather than introducing this policy on a case-by-case basis, it applies across the board to every December appointment — no exceptions.

✨ A little reminder about pricing since people use their free will to be RUDE.

I completely appreciate that not every service is going to be within everyone’s budget — and that is absolutely fine.

What I don’t think is necessary, however, is messaging a small business to tell them their prices are “too high”.

My pricing is based on my experience, qualifications, ongoing training, the products I use, the time invested into each appointment, my overheads and, ultimately, the level of service I provide.

You may not agree with my prices. You may not be able to afford them. You may even choose to go somewhere else — and that’s your choice.

But there is a polite way to communicate that without making a business owner feel as though they need to justify what they charge.

You wouldn’t walk into a designer shop and tell them their prices are too high because you can’t afford the handbag. You simply… don’t buy the handbag. 😂

The same applies here.

If my prices aren’t within your budget, I genuinely have no issue with that. ❤️

But please don’t confuse “I can’t afford it” with “it’s overpriced.” They are two very different statements.

My prices are my prices, my business is my business, and I’m very comfortable with what I charge.

So, if it’s not for you — no hard feelings.
Just keep scrolling, rather than sending me a price critique I didn’t ask for. 😉

An important message to all of my lovely clients 🤍
After lots of thought, I’m so excited (and a little emotional!) to finally share some news with you all… 🥹✨

I will be leaving Halo Hair & Beauty and starting an exciting new chapter, working alongside Nathan at Behind The Hair – Salon & Academy, based at Fort Kinnaird! 🤎

My last day at Halo Hair & Beauty will be Thursday 27th August. 🗓️

I honestly can’t put into words how grateful I am for my time at Halo. I have absolutely loved every minute of working alongside Von & Linzi, and I’ll always be so thankful for all the memories, laughs and experiences I’ve had there. 🤍

However, I feel like now is the right time to spread my wings a little further, challenge myself and see where this next chapter takes me. ✨🦋

We’re located at Fort Kinnaird, in the office buildings next to the BIG BLUE Safestore self-storage building.

The new salon is super easy to get to, whether you’re driving or using public transport, so hopefully getting to your appointments will be nice and easy! 🤍

🚗 BY CAR
Fort Kinnaird is just off the A1 and is really easy to get to from Gorebridge and surrounding areas, with plenty of FREE PARKING nearby. 🤩
So there’s absolutely no stress about finding somewhere to park before your appointment! 🙌🏼

There are regular bus connections to Fort Kinnaird, making it really easy to get to without a car. 🚌

If you’re travelling from Gorebridge, you can take the train to Newcraighall, then its a few minutes walk from the station 🚶‍♀️ 🚆

🤍 WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR APPOINTMENTS?
If you already have an appointment booked in my diary, don’t worry! Your appointment will simply be transferred over to the new salon. ✨
I completely understand that with moving locations, the new salon might be a little further for some of you, and I really don’t want anyone to feel worried or pressured if the change means you’re no longer able to make your appointment. 🤍
If that’s the case, please just get in touch with me. I’ll completely understand, and we can have a little chat about your appointment and see what works best for you. 🥹🤍

Unfortunately, I’ve been forced to take today off work after my back finally decided enough was enough.

I’ve spent the day in hospital and I’m still here at the moment after having an MRI scan to investigate what’s been causing my ongoing back problems.

I just want to apologise to everyone whose appointments I had to cancel today. I know it’s frustrating, and I really appreciate your patience and understanding.

At the moment, I’m still unsure how I’ll be feeling tomorrow. Depending on the pain and what the doctors advise, I may need to reschedule tomorrow’s appointments as well. If that’s the case, I’ll be in touch with anyone affected as soon as possible.

Thank you all so much for your understanding—I really appreciate your support, and I’m hoping to be back behind the chair as soon as it’s safe to do so. 💙

Before you book, we just wanted to let everyone know that we have two very special members of the team…

🤎 Luna – our gentle Cocker Spaniel who loves a cuddle and a snooze.

🤍 Nulla – our curious little kitten who likes to supervise everything (usually from the the most comfortable lap she can find!).

They work together in the salon on some days, bringing plenty of smiles and the occasional cuddle. On other days, they’re off enjoying a well-earned day off at home with their other dad while he’s working from home. 🏡❤️

We’re proud to be a pet-friendly salon, but we also understand that not everyone is comfortable around animals. If you have allergies, a phobia, or would simply prefer your appointment without Luna and Nulla around, just let us know when booking and we’ll do our best to arrange your appointment on one of their days off.
