My melanoma diagnosis taught me just how important vigilance and self-advocacy are when it comes to your skin.

That’s why I completed Melanoma and Skin Cancer Early Detection accreditation and partnered with Map My Mole, giving both myself and my clients access to the UK’s leading Consultant Dermatologists, with assessments available in as little as 24 hours.

When caught early, melanoma is often treated relatively simply with surgery such as a wide local excision. Advanced melanomas, however, can be life-threatening without prompt treatment.

Throughout my journey, I have benefited enormously from the NHS and will always be incredibly grateful. However, navigating an overstretched system with long waiting lists can be challenging. I have personally used private services because when facing melanoma, time truly matters.
