Your trial isn't simply about choosing your eyeshadow or lipstick.

It's our opportunity to work together before your wedding day... to talk about what you normally wear, what you love, what you don't, your dress, hair, overall vision and most importantly, how you want to feel

We can trial your look, make adjustments - go softer or add a little more definition. Change the lip colour and see how everything works together

After all the trialing and discussing, we've created a look that feels completely you!

It also means that when your wedding morning arrives, there's no wondering "Am I going to like my makeup?"

We've already done the experimenting so it's one less thing to worry about

My job doesn't stop just because I've put the makeup brush down 🤍

Of course I’m there to make sure you feel beautiful on your wedding morning but sometimes being your bridal makeup artist means being an extra pair of hands too 🤭

Whether it’s helping with your veil, finding the thing that’s mysteriously disappeared five minutes before you need it, passing you a tissue or simply being a calm person in the room when the nerves start to kick in. I'm known to stop peeping guests from seeing the bride prematurely! If closing curtains and blinds were an Olympic sport I'd be a gold medalist 🤣

By the time your makeup is finished, I’ve usually spent the morning chatting with you, laughing with your bridesmaids, meeting your family and sharing in all those little moments that happen before you say “I do.”

So if I can make your morning that tiny bit easier I will. To me, being your bridal makeup artist is about so much more than just the makeup, it's all the other little things too 🤍

✨ Life update... because it's been a while! ✨

I realised my last "About Me" post was well over a year ago, and a few little changes since then, so I thought it was time for a little catch up! 🤍

I'm Emilie, the face behind Makeup & Beauty by Emilie, and in just 3 days I'll be turning the big 3-0... I'm still not quite sure how that happened! 😂🎉

I've now been a professional Makeup Artist for over 10 years and a Beauty Therapist for almost 9 years, and I honestly still love what I do just as much as when I first started.

This year has brought some really exciting opportunities...

✨ I now work from two salon locations - Bianca's in Dover and S & H Hair & Beauty in Gravesend - meaning I get to meet even more lovely clients across Kent.

🎙️ One of my biggest highlights has been launching with Bianca McGeehan - Beauty Therapist. If you'd told me a year ago I'd be co-hosting a podcast, I'd never have believed you! I absolutely love chatting all things beauty, business and the real life behind the industry.

🏆 This year I received a Highly Recommended award in the Fresha 2026 Awards. As a small business owner, recognition like that means more than I can put into words, so thank you to every single one of you who has supported me.

Outside of work, life has changed too. 🤍

I'm spending much more time with my partner and his two children, and it's reminded me how important it is to enjoy family time, children aren't young forever!

Something that hasn't changed though...

If you're nervous about booking, wondering what to expect or feeling a little anxious, I completely understand. My goal has always been to create a calm, welcoming space where you can feel comfortable from the moment you walk through the door.
