Wasps can be a problem in Autumn as a small number of wasp species kill honey bees and rob the hive of honey and pollen. Entrance blocks can be inserted making it easier for the honey bees to defend their colony.

Children from a local primary school visited our Bee Farm and they loved seeing the honey bees and learning all about them!

Do you fancy some honey with something extra? Why not try honey with cut comb, its honeycomb straight from the hive, cut into pieces with the honey still inside the wax cells. All edible, nature at its best!

The honey bees have new friends this year! As well as the deer, rabbits and pheasants who live here, there are four bird families nesting in trees and outbuildings, frog spawn in the pond and a family of foxes with four cubs. We are now official Bee Friends wildlife reserve!
