Oh baby monkey 🙈

I went back to work this morning (for 3 hours) and i kept an eye on the camera- Stanley was very distressed 😢
Although he is used to being left for a few hours each day whilst I work, he is now being confined to a small room and having to wear his donut when unsupervised, and he has since told me he's bored and lonely.
To save his mental wellbeing, and potentially my soft furnishings, can I please ask where possible that appointments are carried out at my place until Sept 24th when he is allowed out of his room. I endeavour to organise drop in's from his walker at the times i have to be out, but otherwise Stanley would be so grateful for the company of my clients who i know already care so deeply 🥰

Saturday Rest Day with Monkey 🥰 🐾

Stanley is doing so well at home!

His wound looks to be doing really well and Stanley is accepting his medication (of which there is 8 tablets and a liquid medicine per day) and he is resting really well like such a good boy!

Stanley is even starting to get his wag back 🥰

I picked up a 2nd hand bean bag so that I can comfortably stay with him in his room (and take the opportunity to rest myself) and I have been sleeping on the sofa at night so I can keep a close ear out for him.

I love him dearly.

Stanley is home and flat out in his bed, with his ducks keeping him company in a jar 🤣🥲

Lots and lots of rest, painkillers and sedatives required.

2 weeks crate rest with his cone of shame, and strict 10 minute walks around the block.

Stanley was so happy to see me, in true Stanley style he came at me head first and immediately snapped the plastic cone of shame 🤣

He couldn't get out of there fast enough!

I am so incredibly thankful to those who have shared and donated, and I am so grateful for the specialists at Lumbry Park who have taken such great care of my Monkey.

Onwards and upwards, and no more ducks 🙈 💙

💙🐾 STANLEY UPDATE — HE'S COMING HOME TODAY! 🐾💙

I have just had a phone call from Stanley's surgeon with another update, and thankfully my boy is stable and doing well. 🙏🏻❤️

There is, however, one little problem… my Monkey is absolutely hating being in hospital and is being very unhappy with the staff when they try to get near him! 🙈

Because he's being so aggressive when they try to examine him, they're unable to properly monitor him for pain, so the surgeon has made the decision to let me collect him a day earlier than planned at 5pm today, in the hope that he will be much more comfortable and settled at home with me.

I will be able to give him his medication, keep a very close eye on him and monitor him myself. If he shows any signs of pain or starts to deteriorate, I will have to take him straight back to the hospital.

But for now… I'M GETTING MY BOY HOME! 🥹😭💙

I can't tell you how excited I am to see him and finally have my Monkey back where he belongs. I've already been getting his little recovery room ready with his crate and a comfy bed, and I absolutely cannot wait to see him walk through the door. 🐾❤️

I've also had so many amazing people donate and share Stanley's fundraiser, and I am completely overwhelmed by everyone's kindness. I've now raised £1,025 in just one day. It is honestly so lovely to see how many people care about my boy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️

I haven't yet been given the final bill, but I will need to settle the account when I collect Stanley at 5pm today. I'm keeping everything crossed that the cost stays within the original £7,000 estimate.

So I'm making one final little push for Stanley. 🙏🏻

Thankyou so much for your wishes for Stanley and for donating.
I can't tell you how grateful I am.

The surgery is complete, though they did in fact have to cut the intestines to remove the smaller duck.
The surgeon is very confident that it's all looking positive as fortunately they didn't come across any complications!

I must now wait and hear for updates whilst they monitor him for the next few days, but I am keeping my fingers crossed he will soon be home where he belongs and on the road to recovery!

I am now in the process of setting up a little room for him with a comfy bed and crate, and really can't wait to be reunited with my monkey!

Very late posting but needs to be done!

This was my Mum's hair before & after our holiday. The top picture was the colour I did right before we went away, and the bottom picture was 4 days later!

This is a classic example of how strong the UV from the sun can be when hair is not protected or covered up.
Admittedly Mum did apply UV protection spray most days, however it was not reapplied as frequently as required, and without wearing a hat, the UV protection spray will only ever do so much.

For those people who cover their hair on holiday 👏 but do remember that even at home when that UV is up to a Level 6, even just hanging out the washing or doing a bit of gardening it will be strong enough to lift your hair colour.

During the summer months it can feel like a constant battle retaining your hair colour, but it really doesn't need to be. And as empathetic as I try to be about it, I won't be blamed for hair colour lifting which could have otherwise been prevented.

We have another heatwave on the horizon, so let's do all we can for maintaining those beautiful colours for the rest of the season 🙌🤭
