Personalised treatments to suit individual body. Any discomfort with back, shoulders, hips can exclusively be addressed.

Licensed & insured (male) therapist (qualified to the highest levels of ITEC, VTCT) offering a variety of deep tissue, clinical & sports massages in Guildford since 2009. Basic approach of all therapies is based on holistic principle & incorporate moves from several disciplines that I have been trained on. There is no set routine so the treatment will be dictated by an initial assessment & client/body need of the day. Along with chronic injury rehabilitation & sports performances I also get approached for stress & exercises to stretch or strengthen the core of the body. Although all massages hereditary have a strong element of relaxation attached to it, I do not cater for people looking solely for an oil rub, 'ohlala' massage (this is my personal preference; one should be able to find cheaper alternative elsewhere). I take pride in my profession & have a loyal customer base that also include some fellow medical professionals. They are happy to vouch for my assessment, firm pressure & the therapeutic effect of my massage treatments on their lives that they have been receiving over the years. My work-life/play balance along with the energy & concentration I need to exert in my therapy sessions limit me to a maximum of three bookings on any single day. You will not find FMT listed on any paid advert sites, promising cures or pushing products. My approach has always been to grow this in an old school, organic manner. Treatments are charged by time, starting from £60. Appointments can be made for all seven days of the week. Parking, in front on this private street. Ibad A Fulaylee

How do you secure medical referrals, get looked up by GPs, other medics, sports coaches/sponsors?
How can a patient's work/private insurer verify your credentials & invoices?
What about landing invitations for clinical massage research projects, podcast panels, and networking conferences.
The key is registration with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

The CNHC is an independent regulator backed by the government to protect the public and build trust in complementary healthcare. This is very different to a professional associations (like the SMA) that act as a voice for therapists.

To be included in the CNHC register, a practitioner must meet strict UK-wide standards:
Insurance: Maintain valid public liability and professional indemnity cover.
Memberships: Belong to a verfied professional association.
CPD hours: Demonstrate continuous professional development through at least 35 hours of accredited learning courses per year.
(& of course, contribute towards CNHC annual fee along with the others above).

Once your qualifications history & public records are vetted, you are live on their official public database.

Use, ‘Find A Practitioner’ field to look up for accredited therapists near you or verify credentials of any practitioner by the name field.

My next couple of posts might sound a bit "me-me," but in the absence of a website right now, I think it’s important to share these certificates.

"What is the point of paying a professional body year after year?" I am often asked this by fellow therapists, including some of my own students.

Here in the UK, the title "Massage Therapist" is not legally protected. While the complexities of regulating the industry are up for debate, the reality is that some "schools" offer single-day online courses with no exams or hands-on practice, yet their graduates can still use the title.

A professional association protects the industry by vetting your courses, training hours, and institution. They also act as a gateway to the CNHC register (I shall write about them in a future post). Furthermore, leading associations streamline access to relevant CPD courses and audit their members to ensure continuous professional development—which is vital for clinical practice.

Why did I choose the SMA? They exclusively enroll soft-tissue practitioners qualified at Level 4 and above, where training becomes more academic and clinical.
That said, I always remind people that one of my very first Level 3 courses taught me how to truly approach the human body. It remains one of the most valuable lessons of my career, and I have immense respect for the excellent Level 3 therapists doing incredible work across the country.

Some professions are somewhat protected from AI takeover (for now) but not from the heat waves 🦊.
Yes, it was a struggled but we managed. Thanks to the amazing set of clients we were able to make some alterations in the diary and avoided working in peak hours with no wind & humid condition. Probably not everyone has that luxury so I want to thank you all who cared.
P.S. Maano is completely alright; was just acting in solidarity!

What's new? This; the most luxury end of the portable tables.

After resisting it for years I found myself travelling to patients home, charities, clinic a bit more often in past 12 months, as many who need the work can't travel.
So to make it more accessible (and easier for me) I have purchased a 2nd table to stay ready in the garage or car boot.
For an additional cost and within reasonable distance this option is now available to all :)

I may have time but lack desire to spend energy on creating new material so shamelessly copy/pasting it from previous Christmas.

Christmas/Birthdays/Valentine/Anniversary & all whatnot gift vouchers, ranging from £70 to £110 available on request (emailed to you as PDF).
Get in touch if this is the gift you are eyeing; season greetings 🙂

Cleaning my closet (literally!) I found my very 1st qualification; reminded me that it's been over 17 years since I changed career 🙃 & hopefully that was for one final time.
Managing the challenges of every new body makes this field requiring constant self-learning, being ever so inquisitive along with CPD courses (for insurance, licenses & professional bodies membership purposes).
Thank you all for keeping me on my toes 😊

'Hello, I'm Mano, just over 2 months old rescued kitten & have decided to join the team, as I have been told that I'm good at massages!
You may not see me on your visits but I'm frequently passing through the clinic. So if you are unfortunately allergic to us furry creatures, do tell my slave, so the room is thoroughly hoovers and wiped before your appointment😼 .'

How To Treat Iliopsoas (Psoas) - Trigger Point Release 11/04/2024

One of the three ways we access the trigger points at the ever so notorious Psoas muscle, depending on the body type.
In the comments section I'm pasting same for the Glute Med; both by one of the finest instructors (Dr Kuttner) I ever came across in student days.

Lymphatic Treatment 19/03/2024

Just a post after 50 days since fb keeps on questioning about mine & the clinic's existence🧐
No need for marketing but maybe I shall post some info on monthly basis.
Hope you all are being good to yourselves & I shall leave you with a 12 year old video of a fairly cool friend/instructor/Osteopath Dr Parker from across the pond, who trained with us on Oncology Massage, MLD (Lymphatic Drainage), trauma & scar tissue (belly) work & the subsequent lymph nodes cancer treatments.
Good night/morning 🌝

Lymphatic Treatment Brandon Parker discusses a few indications and contraindications to lymphatic treatment, goes over some lymphatic anatomy and then shows a few techniques to ...
