Lockwood Packaging is a company based in Hadleigh, Ipswich Suffolk specialising in all aspects of blister packaging as well as designing and manufacturing plastic thermoformings. To meet our customer’s requirements, we also contract pack all types of products for blister packing and general heat sealing as well as re-work existing products. Not only do we specialise in packing, we also manufacture, sell and hire packing machines. As a “one stop solution provider” we offer warehousing and storage for customer’s products awaiting to be packed along with plastic formings, printed cards and boxes. For more than 40 years, Lockwood has provided packaging systems and consumables – originally focusing in the fresh produce industry but over the last 10 years has grown the blister and tray sealing business to supply other markets such as Pharmaceutical, Medical, Beauty, Hardware, Bakery and Ready Meals. To suit our customer requirements, we offer a complete range of machines from basic bench top to fully automated blister and tray/cup packing lines for pre-made formings or Form Fill and Seal machines for a variety of package types and materials, backed up by our Engineering support team who are committed to the quality of product, on time. We offer our customers a personnel service sharing in our experience and knowledge, developing the initial concept through to prototypes and pre-production samples to full production of blisters and cards with guaranteed performance. We are hiring!
We are looking for Production Operatives/Manual Production Line Workers to join our well-established team based in Hadleigh, Suffolk
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensuring all production achieves the highest quality standards in line with the company's quality procedures ensuring all necessary documentation and labelling etc. is completed and records maintained
• Ensuring that a safe and clean working environment is always maintained
• Ensuring you always adhere to company procedures and rules and follow both verbal and written instruction
• Ensuring all production is carried out in accordance with job sheets, work orders, packaging specifications
• Ensuring all manufacture is completed in a timely fashion within the given timescales to meet the required delivery date
• Ensuring all company documentation is completed and records maintained in accordance with the company's procedure
• Carry out any other duties as requested by the Supervisor across other production areas.
Skills & Competencies:
• Knowledge of the production environment would be an advantage
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work quickly and accurately
• Ability to use initiative
We pride ourselves on customer quality and service and the products that we produce reflect this. You must be able to produce a consistent level of quality with a good understanding of housekeeping and understand the importance of good / safe working practices is vital.
The ideal candidate will have a positive mindset, can-do attitude, and a desire to work in a team-based environment. Attention to detail and good manual dexterity are a must.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £10.50 per hour
Monday to Friday/No weekends
