Normal skin: The vast majority of melanomas (70% to 80%) arise as brand-new spots on previously normal, healthy skin rather than transforming from an old, stable mole

When to Watch a Mole
You should check your skin regularly and see a doctor if a mole shows any changes described by the ABCDE guide:

* A - Asymmetry: One half does not match the other half.
* B - Border: The edges are irregular, ragged, notched, or blurred.
* C - Color: The color is not uniform and may include different shades of brown or black, or patches of pink, red, white, or blue.
* D - Diameter: The spot is larger than 6 millimeters (about the size of a pencil eraser), though melanomas can sometimes be smaller.
* E - Evolving: The mole is changing in size, shape, color, or elevation, or begins to bleed, itch, or crust .

If you have a mole that just causes you cosmetic concerns yes absolutely I will remove it. 🤎

This is just a gentle reminder that I’m happy working this close to the eye 🫶

It’s not surprising that many clinics turn cases like this away.

I however am more than happy to take clients with skin tags or other lesions this close. I spent many years tattooing eyeliner so to me it’s second nature. 🤎

A common statement from my clients coming into clinic is
“I’ve struggled to find any where that does Milia removal”

I can only assume it’s because not many beauticians offer this treatment because anaesthetic is needed. It can be done without but this could cause quite a lot of discomfort especially if the cyst is on the eyelid.

Dermatologists, doctors and minor skin surgery clinics would probably not prioritise advertising this treatment as it wouldn’t be as profitable as other lesion removals.
