Kirklees and Calderdale Care Awards 2026 - Help us recognise outstanding care staff:

Thank you to those of you who have already taken the time to submit a nomination for the KirCCA Care Awards 2026, we really appreciate your support.

We are currently looking for more nominations in the following categories:

• Care Worker (Community) Kirklees
• Care Worker (Care Home) Kirklees
• Nursing Professional

Every day, individuals across adult social care go above and beyond to support people in Kirklees and Calderdale, and we want to make sure every area of the workforce is recognised.

If you know someone who deserves recognition in one of these categories, please take a few minutes to nominate them before the deadline on 10th July 2026.

Please also encourage colleagues across your organisation to get involved. The strongest nominations are those that include clear examples of the nominee’s impact and achievements.

All finalists receive a complimentary ticket to the awards ceremony for themselves and a guest, including a three-course meal and entertainment, with prizes presented on the night.

Another lovely interactive music session with Steve. We enjoyed singing along, joining in with instruments and boogying along to the tunes 🕺

It was a big team effort, cracking, whipping, chopping and tasting 🍓

And of course the best bit was enjoying it after our lunch 😉

🎁 Sherries birthday 🎁

It was Sherrie’s birthday last week but she was having some well deserved time off (not that having a baby wasn’t enough) 😉

Sherrie has come back from maternity supporting the management team and has really got stuck into her new role. We are thankful to sherrie and all she has done for Lee mount and our clients ❤️

So happy birthday to Sherrie and many happy returns 🎉 🥳 🎈

We have been doing some football prep making our own paper mache football, with colours of the different countries flags 🥅

We have also done some celebrating for Italian day, enjoying some Italian treats on a themed tea trolley, it was a big hit!! 🇮🇹
