We are thrilled to announce that Village Barbers is now under new management with a fresh new look, and will open its doors once again on Tuesday the 15th October.

Taqi, former barber of Ramsons, looks forward to welcoming customers old and new.

It is with a heavy heart that we have to share with you that Darren is no longer able to continue his work at Village Barbers due to illness.

This is an unbelievably difficult and sad position that we have found ourselves in and we are unfortunately left with not alternative but to close the doors.

Darren opened village barbers in 2013, having worked hard at night school to achieve his ambition of becoming a barber. At the time, we had about 25 pence to our name but this did not deter Darren from aspiring to own his own business. With Darrens natural talent for Barbering alongside his friendly, chatty, humorous and hardworking nature he was bound to be successful.

Darren has always viewed his role as more than just ‘cutting hair’. He has taken great pride in his shop and his work and has strived to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere ensuring that every person receives a dedicated and personalised service.

The last 10 years would have course not have been possible without ‘you’, his very loyal and supportive customers and ‘friends’.

Over the years he has enjoyed getting to know you all and sharing the ups and downs in your own lives, if only for the 20 minutes he has spent with you at each appointment. He has learnt so much from lots of you and shared many laughs with you. He has throughly enjoyed his job and is shattered that he can not continue in the role he loves so much.

He holds all of you very dear to his heart and we can not thank you enough for helping Darren to achieve such a sense of satisfaction in his work.

Darren will want to say a personal goodbye to you all and we hope that this will be somehow possible in the coming weeks.

For now, Darrens focus will be on his health and his treatment and spending time together as a family.

From his wife and children we are so incredibly proud of you and we love you so much ❤️

Darren is back in hospital again and the shop is closed.
Darren is unable to answer calls/ texts at the moment.
Apologies to anybody missing appointments or any inconvenience if people have arrived at the shop to find it closed.

After being very unwell and a couple of hospital admissions over the last week, Darren is at home hopefully for good.
The shop will remain closed until next week so that he can try and recover.
Apologies again for the missed cuts.

Village Barbers is currently closed due to illness.
