Under eye fillers are great, but are they effective on their own - unfortunately not.
This area has so much dimension - anatomy and structure MUST be considered to give you a NATURAL, LONG LASTING yet effective result.

So take this case - we treated the magic trio -
cheeks/ midface (for structure)
Undereyes and temples (to improve the lines and hallows under AND around the eye area).
Does she still have pigmentation - yes because filler will never improve pigmented skin.

Does she look fresh, lifted and youthful - yes

Does she look distorted, or fake? No because the treatments were done in harmony.

ABIT OF MIDFACE MAGIC ⭐️

A PERFECT example of the importance of cheek/ mid face support > tear trough filler.

We didn’t touch this lovely ladies tear trough area at all… but after taking a history and having an understanding of the aging process - it was clear what was needed to improve the appearance of the under eyes- in fact adding filler directly to the problematic area - in this case especially, would not have given very desirable results.

So when I advice you against tear troughs and suggest cheek filler - this is why. I love the RHA range for giving a natural result.

Sometimes we need to go backwards to achieve amazing results. This one is for those who are scared to dissolve in the fear of looking ‘flat’

Knowing anatomy and looking at the face as a whole and not an area in isolation means you can recognise how to best enhance your features to their full potential.

Here old filler in the vermillion border was weighing down the ‘white lip’ - causing a slight inversion and shelving of the ‘red lip’. Adding more filler would have just made the problem worse in the long run.

So we dissolved … and would you look at that! Lifted, youthful, and stunning!

It’s been a minute…. I’m back 🙌🏼

I took a step back to focus on some medical exams because the learning does.not.stop.

And I wanted to bring it back with a bang - this stunning but complex transformation for this beautiful lady.

She had fillers years ago, which were injected wayyyy too deep and caused significant distortion of her anatomy - particularly on movement and smiling (picture 3).

We dissolved what we can (unfortunately a lot of it didn’t dissolve which can be a risk with non HA products) - and refilled with RHA products - the resilient hyaluronic acid allows for natural dynamic movement which is so important in the lips!

We restored lost volume, her beautiful shape while maintaining balance and proportion. 🤩

Acne scarring can be one of the hardest skin concerns to treat - But it CAN be done- it just takes consistency, time and usually a combination of in clinic and home treatments. And as always - prevention is better than cure….

⭐️🤷🏽‍♂️LETS TALK ABOUT INJECTABLES FOR MEN…..

So here I am using neuromodulator medication - with a name that rhymes with ‘bro tox’…. And I wanted to take some time to break some of the negative connotations associated with injectable treatments - particularly this one.

First thing is first …Botulinum Toxin is a prescription only medication. Emphasis on medication. Please go to a medical professional and you should be having a thorough medical face to face consultation with a prescriber before having this treatment.

So what are the benefits of this treatment - apart from wrinkle relaxation and rejuvenation?

💦 treatment for excessive sweating - on the forehead, armpits, hands, even feet. injections can paralyse sweat glands and reduce the amount of sweat produced in a particular area

🤯treating chronic migraines:
Toxin can actually treat migraines as effectively as it deals with wrinkles in men. The same Chemical used in cosmetic procedures can block pain-transmitting chemicals. /tear trough filler - I prefer ‘rejuvenation because sometimes filler is needed in the cheeks to rebuild structure, in the temples to balance proportions as well as in the troughs (that area of hollowness under the eyes)

It’s such a delicate area to treat, and needless to say of-course- high risk. But anywhere you inject in the face is high risk IMO… ☕️

So - for me, product, technique, patient selection and build up is so important in achieving solid and long lasting results. This isn’t just one treatment - we treated, allowed time to settle, re-analysed and topped up.

Another thing to mention - under eye filler does NOT treat hyperpigmentation and ‘dark’ circles. And there are a number of causes for ‘dark circles’- BUT if there is hallowing, as the area is lifted the light reflection will make the pigmentation appear less prominent.

The reaction from this beautiful soul made my week, and thank you for allowing me to share - if I help give you back that confidence you deserve to have - that’s a job well done ! ♥️
