Myself and my family suffer terribly and this injection has saved our summers for the last 4 years!!
There’s a lot of confusion about the hayfever injection — so here are the facts:
It was removed from NHS prescribing due to cost-effectiveness and risk–benefit considerations, NOT because it was banned or unsafe when used correctly.
For the right patient, after proper screening and consent, it can be a safe and effective option for severe, treatment-resistant hayfever. Once you have exhausted ALL other options ie. Nasal sprays, antihistamines, eye drops, wipes etc.
It’s not for everyone — but for some, it can make summer enjoyable & manageable again 💚
