FROM BALAYAGE TO BIXIE… ✂️❤️
I absolutely LOVE looking back at a long-term client's hair journey.
We started with box-dyed hair and gradually transformed it with a beautiful balayage.
After growing the balayage out and having toner services along the way, she decided it was time to head back towards her natural colour… and then the chopping began. 😂✂️
First came the choppy bob.
She went home, thought about it and decided…
“I should have gone shorter.” 😂
So back she came for an asymmetrical bob.
Fast forward to this week — the bob had grown out, her roots needed a little refresh and apparently we STILL weren't finished with the scissors…
So we went shorter again and created this gorgeous BIXIE. 😍
I love that every appointment has become just a little bit braver than the last.
At this rate I think we all know what's coming next…

Yep. We did THAT. 😍❄️
**12 HOURS.
2 SESSIONS.
ONE MASSIVE COLOUR TRANSFORMATION.**
My client had been colouring her hair at home with **red box dye for years** when she came to me with one very big request…
**“I want to be platinum blonde.”** 🤍
Before I even thought about reaching for the lightener, we **strand tested**.
We tested colour remover too — but those years of artificial red pigment weren't giving up without a fight. 😂
So we made a plan.
⏱️ **SESSION ONE — 8 HOURS**
Slow, controlled lightening with Wella BlondorPlex, working through that stubborn artificial pigment in stages.
Lift. Rinse. Dry. Reassess. Lift again.
Pre-tone. Tone. Treat.
And then I made probably the most important decision of the whole transformation…
**I STOPPED. ❤️**
We weren't at our final platinum yet, but her hair had done enough for one day.
Because getting the perfect colour means absolutely nothing to me if we sacrifice the hair getting there.
Then came…
⏱️ **SESSION TWO — 4 HOURS**
Another carefully controlled lightening session, followed by toning, WellaPlex, Wella Ultimate Repair, Miracle Hair Rescue, a fresh cut and style.
And finally…
❄️🤍 **HELLO PLATINUM!** 🤍❄️
From YEARS of red box dye to this.
**12 hours of work.
2 separate appointments.
A LOT of patience.
And one very happy blonde. 🥰**
This is why major colour corrections aren't a quick appointment — and why I will never promise to get somebody to their dream colour in one sitting.
**Platinum was the goal.
Healthy hair was the priority. ❤️**
And I am SO proud of this one. ✂️
