This morning the team have been sat together for our MDT (multi disciplinary team) focus group. Learning about new products, talking through complex cases, discussing new techniques, sharing experiences & challenging each other to think differently.

I never want anyone in our clinic to feel like they’re making difficult decisions alone. We have an incredible team with different backgrounds, knowledge & experience, and when we bring that together, our clients get the very best of us.

There isn’t a finish line in aesthetics. The day you think you know it all is the day you stop growing. We’re committed to constantly learning, questioning ourselves, and making sure every treatment we offer is as safe, evidence-based & effective as it can be.

Our clients deserve more than someone who can inject. They deserve a team who never stop investing in becoming better.

Some days I just have to stop for a minute & take it all in. 🤍

Today has been one of those days.

We’ve done it all! Every room was busy. Every practitioner was doing what they do best & Becky was kept very busy with a non stop ringing phone! But we all pulled together, laughed with our clients, supported each other & somehow kept everything running smoothly.

People often see the before & after photos, but they don’t always see what happens behind the scenes. The conversations, the trust, the excitement when someone sees their results, the teamwork, the cups of coffee (aplenty), and the genuine friendships we build with so many of our clients.

I drove home today feeling on such a high. Not because we were busy… but because I genuinely love what we do & we are so lucky to have the team & the clients that we do.

I never take for granted that hundreds of people choose us to be part of their confidence journey. It means the world, and I honestly feel incredibly privileged.

Today was one of the most humbling, emotional & intense learning experiences of my career.

There is no textbook, lecture or online course that can compare to learning from real human anatomy. Every layer, structure, every variation deepened my understanding in a way I simply can’t put into words.

I came here to become a safer, more knowledgeable practitioner for my patients & I’m leaving with so much more than new skills. I’m leaving with a profound respect for the incredible people who chose to donate their bodies so healthcare professionals like me can continue learning long after they’ve gone.

That gift is impossible to measure.

Throughout the day, I found myself constantly thinking about the person behind the anatomy. They had a family. A life. A story. And because of their final act of generosity, countless future patients will benefit from the lessons they have taught us.

In aesthetics, anatomy isn’t just interesting… it’s everything. Every injection carries responsibility & I never want to stop investing in becoming the safest practitioner I can be.

Today has changed the way I look at the human body forever.

I spend a lot of time asking myself questions.

Not because I don’t know what I’m doing, but because I don’t think you ever stop learning & I always want us to be striving for better.

Could we communicate that better?

Could that client journey feel even more special?

Could we make that treatment safer? More effective? More personal?

I think curiosity has probably been one of the biggest reasons Blush has grown so exponentially.

As women in business, we’re often underestimated. Sometimes quietly, sometimes VERY openly 😵‍💫 People decide what they think we’re capable of. They place ceilings on us that have nothing to do with our ability & everything to do with their own limits & expectations.

I’ve learnt not to waste energy trying to change people’s minds.

I’d rather quietly keep building, learning & progressing.

I will continue smashing through every ceiling that was placed above me.

And the thing I’m most proud of? I’m not climbing alone.

I’m building opportunities, opening doors & taking an incredible team of women with me.

I always carry a notebook & pen because my best ideas rarely arrive when I’m rushing. They come when my mind has space to wander, when I’m curious enough to ask another question & brave enough to trust the answer.

There’s a lot going on in this brain. And after everything we’ve built over the last few years…I’ve learnt to trust myself completely. 🥂🤍

I wish I could go back there & show her the 2nd photo….

The first photo was taken during a chapter of my life that felt hard.

Long shifts. 4 children, still breastfeeding 2 babies, no sleep. A lot of self-doubt.

I remember feeling like everyone else had some sort of roadmap & I was just making it up as I went along.

The second pic is proof that sometimes you don’t need a roadmap. You just need to keep going.

This is a big post for me to write & I hope that anyone reading this who has ever felt that tension between being a mum & having ambition reads it and knows that you can be both.

You don’t have to choose.

I spent a lot of my life feeling like I needed to tone myself down. Be less ambitious, less driven, less determined.

The very traits we praise in men are often the traits women are made to feel ashamed of.

I’ve always been an outlier.

When I started Blush, I was still breastfeeding babies 3 & 4. On training days, whilst everyone else sat together, I was in another room pumping milk.

I’d spend the day learning, then go home to children, bedtime routines & all the chaos that comes with raising a family.

Even then, I wanted more. Not more things, but more growth, learning, more possibilities.

Over the years I’ve heard every variation of:

“When are you going to slow down?”

“When is enough, enough?”

“Why don’t you just enjoy what you’ve built?”

But why can’t I be feminine AND strong?

Why can’t I be maternal AND ambitious?

Why can’t I adore my children, love my family & still want to build something extraordinary?

These things are not opposites.

They DO coexist.

Not everyone wants the same life & that’s okay.

If slowing down makes someone else happy, wonderful.

But building, creating, learning & growing makes me happy.

I don’t need to stop.

In fact, I think it’s a privilege to still be growing, learning & progressing.

To still have goals that excite me enough to make me nervous.

These days, I don’t need everyone to understand me.

I don’t need everyone’s approval.

I’ve realised that being different isn’t something I need to fix.

It’s one of my greatest strengths.

So if I have a dream, I’ll chase it.

Because life is far too short to spend it wondering what would have happened if you’d taken the next step.

And if my climb makes some people uncomfortable?

That’s okay.

This feels like a dream.

For now, I’m keeping my mouth shut & getting on with the work.
